What is your most wasted possession?

A Keurig machine given to me by a loving coffee drinking daughter and son in law (a cup never leaves his hand). Ever.

When I want coffee, I always want a Starbucks Iced Peppermint Mocha with lots of whipped cream.

i thought we would never use one b/c we fresh grind beans and drink entire pots (saw them as wasteful) UNTIL i was at my oldest's and was offered a starbucks hot chocolate:love::love:SO FREAKING CONVENIENT! i stock up on it when i can find it around christmas and grab a few cans of different flavored whipping cream (peppermint mocha is one).

Add me to the china list. My grandmother bought my sister and I each a set of china when we were teens. Because she was older when she had my dad, and then he was older when we came along, she said she probably wouldn’t be living when we got married, and she wanted to go ahead and give it to us. That was fine, it’s a nice pattern and all, but I am still not married, and have no need for the china. I have a set of unbreakable holiday Corelle that we use for Thanksgiving and Christmas, so no need to get it out of the boxes even for holidays. One day, after I am dead, whoever comes to bulldoze the house will find a brand new set of china still in its original boxes.

I have been tempted to unbox the teapot, sugar and creamer, a couple of cups and saucers and the tiered serving plates, and treating myself to a nice tea service . . .

I would probably say jewelry. I wear my wedding ring, and occasionally earrings, but bracelets and necklaces get ignored most of the time.

My George Foreman grill. I googled a moment ago and discovered that I can indeed use it to cook up eggs, so I might have to recommission it for this grand purpose.

China. I don’t have a complete set. Heck, I don’t even want the incomplete set that I have.

I have a 2006 VW beetle convertible. That really pretty baby blue/robins egg blue. Got it in 2007. To this day has only a little over 10,000 miles on it. In all new condition, even still smells like new inside. Don't drive it very often. Thinking about selling it.

My grandmother’s set of china. I’ve only used it for a couple holiday dinners over the past 40 years. I love how it looks in my china cabinet though.
SAME ::yes:: 👍🏻
We have my DH’s great grandmother’s china and it’s beautiful. It scares me to even consider using it - I‘d be afraid of it breaking. I have it displayed beautifully in my china cabinet and someday it will be DD19’s to display - it’ll be really really old by then.
my fancy watches. I only wear my Apple Watch now so all those watches are just sitting in the drawer. I had a wedding in the summer, I was going to wear a fancy watch, but it needed a new battery and I didn't have time to get it replaced so didn't get to wear it.
SAME ::yes::👍🏻
My Movado just sits in the safe doing nothing. I do pull the pin/dial/whatever it’s called to stop the watch from working so hopefully the battery has some juice in it when I do rarely need to wear it.

A pearl necklace my grandma bought me 30 years ago.
It‘s beautiful, but I just don’t ever wear pearls.

My original wedding rings (the set that has my engagement ring).
I love them, but my DH has bought me anniversary wedding rings that I wear instead.
Due to me having Raynaud’s I need to wear gloves as soon as it gets in the 50s, so many times that starts in September and goes through May, so wearing rings that have prongs that snag is not good for rings (I lost a stone out of my Mother’s ring due to this). So my cold weather month rings are smooth with no prongs. I will bring my original wedding set out for special occasions, but in all honesty, I love my anniversary rings a lot more - my DH has great taste with jewelry and knowing what I would like.

My Universal Orlando annual pass. I bought one in November when planning a three day trip hoping to sneak down for another trip during the year.

After the first day of my first trip I went back to my room and made a reservation for a Disney Park for day three and only used the Universal pass the first and second day. I’m heading back to Orlando for a short trip in ten days but I’m doing Disney again even though I could technically get into Universal for “free”.

Jewelry. I don’t wear anything but my band.

DH has has gifted me beautiful pearls with diamond clasps (necklace and bracelet), asst. necklaces with pendants, a topaz and diamond ring I said was pretty on vacation and he went back and bought it, earrings of various design and carats and of course my engagement ring and other rings through out our 34 yrs of marriage.

I am sensitive to things on my neck and so have never liked necklaces and I knocked my engagement ring so many times on stuff that I just stopped wearing it.

My most wasted possession would have to be my large collection of over 650 vinyl albums. I never got rid of them. With time there has been a resurgence in vinyl. I even bought an expensive turntable for my home theatre A/V. For the first few months, I listened on vinyl almost only to my classic Styx, Boston, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Fleetwood Mac, and other popular music we old people listen to. LOL. Eventually, it diminished and most of the time now I just listen to my music streaming digitally using Tidal.

Does your collection include Frampton Comes Alive?

What teenage boy (or girl) didn't have Frampton Comes Alive? :rotfl:

I wore that record out twice. I do currently own that on vinyl after buying it years later to have it in my collection. It is one of the greatest live albums ever to go along with a few other great live albums I have such as Deep Purple, "Made in Japan," Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, "Live Bullet," Cheap Trick, "At Budokan," and Kiss, "Alive." Wow did I date myself? These kids today have no idea what they are missing with their Miley Cyrus, Justin Beiber, and Taylor Swift. LOL. I'll admit though I have a couple of albums on vinyl from Adele. That woman as a singer would be great in any generation!

Haha, I always think of Wayne's World "Everyone in the world has Frampton Comes Alive..."

I have a very small vinyl collection. Kiss Alive is great, though I hear that it's been been given a good amount of studio polish, it's got the best version of Black Diamond.

Spouse purchased me a watch a few months ago and paid around $43,000 for it. With such an increase in muggings for jewelry I’m afraid to wear it. So it sits in the bank box. WG so it’s not so noticeable. But the bad guys seem to know.

My Christmas decorations. May as well toss them out. Lived away from family most of my 26 year marriage so we HAVE to travel back to them for the holidays so I have rarely enjoyed my own home on Christmas. Therefor no need to decorate since we won't be there. And definitely could toss the outside house lights as my DH has NEVER EVER wanted to put them up or help me put them up (even when we did live near family for 10 years).

Since we only use Corelle dishes and I wear jean culottes and a polo shirt every day of my life, I could probably discard everything else and not miss a thing.
Oh...keep the shoes. My feet always hurt. 🙃
