What is your favorite...

BOMA!! Mt 2 boys, 6 and 2, my wife, and I all enjoyed the food (which is pretty rare these days with the darn picky kids)

...1 TS credit restaurant at a resort and why?? :confused3 Having a space to fill for one and curious what people think. Am thinking about the GF Cafe or Wave, maybe.

Thanks!

Depends.

Both of those are very good. The location of both may be very good if you are staying over that way or going to MK that day.

Dining isn't just about the food, and for you it may very much NOT be about the food that I like. There are several places that are big hits that we don't really like, and visa versa. Ther are several places we love that have gotten some mixed reviews before -depending on what folks' tastes are.

The GF Cafe is a fairly typical WDW menu , in terms of nothign terribly exotic. It's pretty safe bet that everyone will find somehtign to like.

The Wave is pretty unique in that it's one fo few places that's got a rather modern menu, and some really healthy options. Sometimes at WDw, it's not always clear just how much full fat cream is in your dish, and Disney periodically serves somethign liek fried danish ot unsuspecting guests (though htye may have removed that item) the Wave is inspriational in that they have come up with some fun new ideas that are also healthy choices. Try a yogurt smootie, for example. the only downside of the Wave is that, I've just never loved that space. Teh decor is much prettier than it ever was before, but I find it hard to love any space that doesn't have windows. It still feels a little like a basement to me. (honestly, as a child my recolection was alwasy that the space WAS in the basement of CR!) The food is muc better at teh Wave than Chef Mickey's - but CM has the advantage of being ithe large pretty atrium.

There in, GF Cafe is itself located in a rather pretty spot. GF Cafe also has the advantage of being located in GF. After dinner, it's a REALLY nice place to linger. You can go tot he lobby and hear live music, stroll the patio area, stroll down to the dock and hitch a boat to MK, hop the monorail, sit outside and watchthe castle, peruse the GF shops. It's a nice place to pause. If you are staying at GF, or this will be your only visit to GF, then it's a very nice choice.

I have several favorites, depending....one of my top favorites is Boma. I love the food, I love the decor of the restaurant, and I love AKL.

P.S. Reading over this thread supports what I said above....some of the places others have listed are places we REALLY disliked!

We love Ohanas! I love everything they bring to the table, stir fried veggies, salad, dumplings, wings, noodles and all the grilled meats and that amazing bread pudding ( I dont normally eat bread pudding) plus the Poly is just so beautiful!

Grand Floridian Cafe, especially for breakfast (maple vanilla french toast is one of the best foods in all of WDW, much better than over-rated Tonga Toast, IMHO). Kona Cafe for breakfast is a close second. Boma is probably the best buffet.

GF Cafe had good food and a lovely atmosphere, but the menu didn't strike me as anything special. Kona is one of my favorites and Whispering Canyon was also really good (you should also be able to get the big all-you-can-eat meal as an entree unless things have changed since we went in Sept.).

Sanaa is our favorite resort 1TS and second overall (to Ragland Road at DTD).

I'd probably try The Wave cuz I havent been there yet and sounds good-I love The Contemporary...if that was booked and I only had 1 TS credit, I'd go back to Kona...delicious breakfast and dinner (Tonga Toast, mahi mahi, drinks, awesome tropical setting, open to the lush surroundings of the lobby and sounds of the waterfall)

Kona! It's the only restaurant we've done twice in one trip. :goodvibes

I have three favorites:
Boma, because it has great food, eclectic menu, and love the atmosphere.
Cape May's seafood is great.
The Wave was one of our favorites when we tried it recently...lots of delicious and healthy choices (my kids loved the smoothies).

I have to go with the Kona Cafe for this one. The food (including the sushi) is great (Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner), the service is (usually) amazing (I've never had anything other than amazing service there, YMMV), and the location is (IMHO) the best in Disney.

Cape May Cafe was awsome when we were there last week for my birthday dinner. Our server had all the guest sing Happy Birthday to me! It was a magical moment I won't forget in a hurry!!! Oh, and the crab legs were fabulous!!pixiedust:
