What is your favorite Disney restaraunt? This will be our first time to Disney! It will be my husband, Daughter (7), son (4 1/2) and myself. We are doing the Disney Dining Plan but we haven't decided on the regular or the deluxe yet. We want to try different things and experience something fun and different.

Thanks!

Still being new to the DW myself we have only eaten a few places, but Crystal Palace ranks as a tops for us.
Not only do we like the buffet items (dinner, haven't been to BK yet) I love the decor, the ambiance and the characters.
We also like Whispering Canyon Cafe. They have a great bbq skillet that is all you can eat and well as a nice ribeye. Cute wait staff entertain you and make jokes, it is fun. (have to ask for ketchup when you are there) ;)
For a romantic night we suggest the San Angel Inn at Epcot. It is more authenic mexican food (not tex mex) and is very good, different but good. But the atmosphere can't compete with anything we have seen.

We enjoy going back to some old favorites while expanding our places to go. Enjoy your trip.

Cape May Cafe -- Breakfast
Sci-Fi -- Dinner
Teppan Edo -- Dinner
Tusker House -- Lunch

Only Two trips so more to try next time.

Wow, I don't think I could pick just one. Here are our "must-do" meals for every trip:

Tusker House breakfast
Chef Mickey breakfast
Ohana dinner

WE love Wolfgang Puck
Flying Fish
Cape May Clam Bake
and DH loves ESPN for the wings

We really like:
Tony's
1900 PF
Chef Mickey's
CRT
Le Cellier
Ohana
Kona Cafe
Mama Melrose

My top choices are:
Crystal Palace: Breakfast
Ohana: Dinner
Teppan Edo
Rose & Crown

On your first trip I would probably stick with the Basic DP
so you won't take to much time away from the parks.

As for Favorites:
Ohana either for Breakfast Fun Characters (Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto)
There's a Kids parade with the Characters around the restaurant.
-good food
or Dinner (all you can eat Family Style) fun Hawaiian singers and music.

Coral Reef (if the kids like to look at fish)--offer fish, steaks.

Tutto Italia (good Italian) Epcot WS.

Tusker House Donalds Safari (AK day) Good food--
Great Characters (Donald, Daisy and Goofy).

Here are my favorite Table Service restaurants:

MK Area - Chef Mickey's for breakfast
Epcot - Germany Biergarten for dinner
Animal Kingdom - Donald's Safari breakfast at Tusker House
DHS - Sci Fi Dine-In for lunch

My favorite counter services:

MK - Casey's
EP - England
AK - don't have one
DHS - Pizza Planet
DTD - Wolfgang Puck Express (still like this more than most TS)

You might like Biergarten at Germany in Epcot. I like the food and the entertainment.

up to this point you have 23 different choices............................ by the time its over everyplace will be represented and you will be no farther ahead........................ look at the menus and pick some places that sounds good to you...................you will not go hungry.

OP, just be aware that the deluxe DP is a LOT of food and you will spend a LOT of your time in restaurants. DH and I typically get the basic DP and if I had small kids I would probably (almost definitely) do the same. If sitting in restaurants is not your kids' thing, you might also consider the quick service plan. Just a thought.

As for restaurants, we think Crystal Palace is a good one for kids if they like the Pooh characters. 'Ohana can be good for small children, too; it has some tasty food and things for the kids to do, too. For food, we love Boma.

LOL! I was thinking the same thing! I have looked at the menus and really it all looks good to me. I have never heard anything bad about the food at WDW anyway. I am wanting to go to some places with really cool atmosphere. Like the one with the fish tanks. That is the info I'm looking for.

California Grill for Dinner - time it with the castle fireworks - can't be beat!

Also kudos go to Boma (AKL) and Cantina San Angel (Epcot)

If you have young kids, don't miss Chef Mickey's...
