What is your favorite sunscreen for WDW?

Coppertone Sport Continuous Spray 30 spf (I've used 50spf but have heard it really doesn't make a difference) We spray down before we leave and it's easy to reapply. I do use a banana boat (I think) dauber on DD's part in her hair and the Coppertone Sport stick for faces. The dauber stings my eyes so I know it does hers too so I went back to the stick for faces but you can't beat it for parts :)

I second the Coppertone Sport - we've been using it since DD was 2. SPF 50 or as high as I can find. I always use the lotion, but my husband prefers the spray.

Third the coppertone sport spray. Very easy to use. My 5 year old loves it. Yesterday I used regular cream sunscreen and she complained and wanted the spray.

I also use the Coppertone stick for the faces.

I have a trick for putting the spray on their cheeks, ears, forehead too. I spray a good amount in my hands and its kind of like a liquid. I can then rub it onto their faces but not near their eyes.

I use Neutrogena with Helioplex, blocks out both UVA and UVB. My DS is VERY fair, and he never gets burned.

Has anyone tried the Disney ones by NO-AD? I bought these back in May and have been using them all summer and they work great. Aside from the cute can (think they had Nemo and something else too), they are scented (except for POTC). DD is more prone to use it with the scent of berry. Hey, whatever gets them to put it on! Anyhoo...before that, we used the Bullfrog spray and both seem to work really well without having to keep doing a reapplication. Nothing sticky and even coverage.

I tried them - and they do smell good - but I hated putting them on DD. The overspray seemed messier than the kind you don't have to rub in. And since I had to rub it in after I sprayed it on her I just didn't care for it. What can I say - I'm spoiled to just spraying it on and being done.

I use a European sunscreen called "P20" by Riemann. We apply it 15 mins before we go out, do a happy dance to let it dry and then it works for approx 8 - 10 hours.

We used it last year & still came home as lily-white as we arrived.

We've never had to rub ours in...we just spray and go.

Another vote for coppertone sport. It's not as stinky and greasy as others.

I think it's Banana Boat...but I can't remember the name for sure, it's a common brand, found at Walmart, Walgreens, etc. It is specifically not irritating if you get it in your eyes. It says on the bottle it's gentle as water. I think they have a line for infants and a line for kids. I think they are identical. It is a wonderful thing because once DS starts to sweat, that sunscreen can and does irritate his eyes.

Really? Do the white lotion spots dry clear? The first time I tried it it was an awful mess. There were lotion dots all over DD but I wouldn't say she had good coverage?

Okay - maybe I just need a tutorial on how to use the product :rotfl: Any pointers? I still have almost a whole can that I haven't used, but I didn't toss it eithere...I thought it would be a good backup if we ran out.

I'd say maybe you have old product, but I think they just came out with this one this year. Unless it was stored (meaning by the store) in a hot area, it shouldn't do that. Hmmm...we don't do anything special...just hold the can about 12 inches away and lightly mist. I kind of liked it for the specific reason that we could spray and go...any product (whether it was Disney on the label or not) that I can do that, I'm happy with. No burns this year and we are avid boaters so we really have to watch ourselves with the reflection off the water on our pale white children. :rotfl:

Maybe I should try it again. I bought it when sunscreen first hit the shelves this summer and it was the Tinkerbell one. And this is the first year they introduced it so I don't think it was just bad. Of course now I'll try it again and really like it since Walmart doesn't have any more. (Don't ask me why I looked when I didn't like it - I guess I just really wanted to like it - it was in a Tinkerbell can for goodness sake!! :rotfl: )

I hear ya...I always want to LOVE anything that is associated with Disney. Although...unfortunately, they will give commercial license to anyone who has the $...and sometimes the products can be...well, um...the stuff that you flush down the toilet! :rotfl:

Neutrogena is the absolute best. The lotion and the spray are the only sunscreens I've found that do not have that stinky smell. They go on lightly and are not sticky. The Helioplex is also the newer generation of sunscreens that is more stable and does not break down in the sun or heat. You want to make sure that you get something that protects against both UVA and UVB rays. Not all sunscreens do that (SPF does not indicate UVA protection).

We used the clear, no rub spray and loved it. I believe it was Coppertone. My DD 4 did nothing but complain when we ran out of it and I had to use the 'rub on' kind on her.:rotfl:

I just saw the Consumer Reports ratings on sunscreens and I think the No-Ads lotions and Neutrogena were the top rated. We've been using Coppertone Sport for a couple years and it wasn't rated good at all and I was really surprised. I can't find the magazine right now but I will look for it and double check.

Hi! I always use Clinique 30 for my family - no added fragrance. We do not like to smell because it always seems to attract the bees to us. My dermatologist said to use SPF 50 for our trip to the World in October. Does Neutrogena make a 50 in a spray? Thanks!!

I personally like the old fashioned lotions:rotfl: The spray is just too sticky for me(and expensive). I think we use Banana Boat.
