What is your favorite summer "adult" beverage?

What is your favorite summer "adult" beverage? Mine would have to be a margarita on the rocks with a salted rim. Yumm. Made with premium blue agave tequilla (like Casa Noble) and Gran Mariner. Yummmmmm!

Don't forget to include your recipe!

Golden Margarita
1 1/2 Shot Tequila Casa Noble
1 1/2 Shot Grand Marnier
1 Shot Sour Mix
Add ingredients to crushed ice into a mixing glass. Shake hard. Serve over crushed ice in a lightly salted margarita glass. Garnish with a twist of lime.

I'm so glad you ask I tried this drink a couple weeks ago and now its my fave. Its an absolute stress yum!!!!

It has absolute vodka, peach shnapps,coconut rum,pineapple juice and cranberry juice. Its very good.

Frozen Mudslide...kaluah, vodka, Baileys, Breyers regular vanilla icecream(this makes the best kind), and ice.

Margaritas all the way, with the mix from William Sonoma...it just screams out summer and poolside volleyball

I go through phases. Right now my faves are sangrias and bahama mamas

bahama mama:

8 oz oj
8 oz pineapple juice
8 oz coconut rum
8 oz white rum

mix it up in a pitcher, add grenadine to make it orangey red, and pout in a glass over ice. Garnish with some fruit slices and a cherry

For something simple I love a cold gin and tonic with lime.
Ever since a special on food tv I've been wanting to try a Mojito and Limoncello. I'm wondering if I could make a mojito myself. Anybody ever do this. Also want to try Caipirinho (sp?)

I make mojitos all of the time.

I just put 2 shots of bacardi limon in a glass, top it off with seltzer, add sugar, a spritz of lime juice and SHAKE! Add a sprig of mint and you're all set.

It's very refreshing on a hot summer day

Evil Princess - I saw that margarita mix at WS the other day - I thought about buying it, now I regret that I didn't!

Camcolt - I LOVE frozen mudslides. If you have an Applebee's restaurant near you be sure to pay them a visit, they have great ones.

Justhope - minus a bit of cream, that drink sounds like a sex on the beach - good stuff!

I have to make a pitcher of drinks for a bbq this weekend. You've all given me some great ideas!

I'm normally a scotch drinker, but in the summer I switch to Margaritas and Baybreezes (vodka, pineapple juice w/ splash of cran)... Anything light and fruity (with no creamy stuff) is good!

I also like the Twisted Tea that got half "hard iced tea" and half "hard lemonade." It tastes just like Arizona Iced Tea (until you start stumbling after several bottles!).

Ours is a Lemonade Wine Cooler, easy and summery
You should use a light dry wine like Pinot Grigio or
a Soave Bolla, or even a zinfindel - but not a Chardonney

1/2 Glass of Dry White Wine
1/4 Glass of Lemonade
1/4 Glass of Lemon-Lime Seltzer

Serve with lemon or lime slices over ice
