What is your favorite spot at TL/BB ?

We're going to be at WDW during the last 2 weeks of july. We're planning to spend some time at both TL/BB since we have some extra unused plus options. What is your favorite spot at the parks ?

We plan to arrive early and stay to sometime around noon. We will probably go on some of the slides, but mostly we just plan on spending time in the pools and the lazy rivers. We are going to bring a small cooler with water and some sandwiches/fruit.

We have been studying the maps of both parks and are looking for a shady spot to settle in and relax, but the maps really does not show any information on where to find shade.

I'm sure others will help with "exact" spots--but shade is at a premium at both TL and BB so just be prepared to run like a madman when the parks open and hope you can out race the others all looking for that same, elusive shade.
ON our first visit to TL we watched with some amusement when the opening rope dropped and some folks ran so fast that they actually fell down in a effort to get a shady area. But the joke was on us, as just 15 minutes later there were NO shade areas left!!
And do the "lazy river" first thing. An hour after park opens, they'll probably run out of inner tubes and the place will be so packed with inner tubes that all the relaxing fun is eliminated and you just try to avoid being jostled and bumped by teens just "having fun"---

Thank you for your input. We definitely plan to get there 30 minutes before rope drop. Do you think that is early enough ?

We have never been to a waterpark before. Do you find a spot first and then go get lockers, change etc... or how does it work ?

IF you need a locker etc to change I would get my shady spot first. When we went, we wore our bathing suits under our shorts and T shirts. So no need for locker, etc.

Where you go depends on how old your kids are. If they are preteens then at BB go to the preteen area and get a shady spot near the pool. This is my favorite spot. I would have one person get the spot and another person go to lockers if you feel you need one. I like to have one to keep some things in that I don't want to think about the rest of the day.
