I'm just full of questions today.....

What is your favorite meal at DL?
I have vote for the Monte Cristo sandwich at Blue Bayou :earsgirl:

Churros + coke on Main Street. <3

Soooo many good times behind that.

We LOVE to eat when we're there...

Monte Cristos for sure at DL

ALL the bakery at the place on mainstreet....yummy w/a hot chocolate at Xmas-time!!!

Ariel's Grotto in DCA (yummy stuff while enjoying the characters....better than Goofy's IMHO).

Mickey ice cream bars from the carts...classic one for my kids (we have great pics of them growing up w/chocolate all over their faces).

In Downtown Disney...we loved the place w/the tapatias (small sampler plates of South American foods) but it's gone; my kids like Rainforest as well...the bbq roll-ups are good.

In DL: Bengal Barbeque, Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor, Rancho Del Zocolo.

In DCA: Strips, Dips, & Chips, Taste Pilots Grill, Boudin's Bakery (if it's chilly), Burrbank Ice Cream, and I really miss the Soap Opera Bistro (the Prime Thyme roasted chicken was delicious as was the Luke & Laura Chololate cake).

I'd have to say:

Disneyland: Gibson Girl - gotta have Fantasia Ice Cream, River Belle Terrace - DW loves the catfish, French Market - love just about anything here, Rancho Del Zocalo - BBQ is good as is the Mexican food, Blue Ribbon Cafe and the Carnation Cafe

DCA: Wine Country Trattoria - Love the lasagne (get there in time and watch the Electrical parade roll on by), Burrr bank Ice Cream and DW and I miss Avalon Cove where Ariel's Grotto is now.

As you can tell we love to eat at DLR.

Oh my.....how could I forget mentioning ice cream on mainstreet or any of those delicious chocolates whipped up by Dan the Candy man!

Ok...I'm getting hungry reading these posts!!!!:hyper:

At Disneyland: I like Bengal Barbeque skewers, Crab Cakes at the Blue Bayou, Pasta at Red Rockett's.

DCA: Clam Chowder at the Pacific Wharf Cafe, Burgers at the Taste Pilot's Grill.

I love having Pasta with bolognese sauce at the Plaza Inn

At DCA I love the Meat Loaf at Ariel's Grotto

With you on that one. The atmosphere makes it that much better. pirate:
For pastries, snacks and coffee we love relaxing at La Brea Bakery DTD
Love the"Hidden Mickey" salad at Wine Country Trattoria:

DCA- Steak Nachos at Cocina

Dole whips at entrance to Adventureland but they are often closed! You MUST try the corn chowder at Storytellers Cafe at the Grand California Hotel ! Crab cakes at Blue Bayou. Churros.
Marilyn

We love the broasted chicken at the Plaza Inn, and the turkey sandwiches at the Pacific Wharf in CA. We also like getting the 10% discount for the passport.:Pinkbounc

The tuna salad in the bread bowl at the little cafe' by the wharf (sorry don't know the name) in DCA.

Churros and any of the mexican food in Frontierland in DL.

Mainstreet: Blue Ribbon Bakery-good coffee/muffins, etc.

Big Thunder BBQ: In July, there was amost no one there-I don't think too many people knew about it-food was quick, and good! Great way to get away from the madness in Fantasyland.

DCA: Pacific wharf cafe-great salads in bread bowls, and the adjacent rita's smoothis/magaritas-what a treat!

Downtown Disney: Tortilla Jo's, La Brea Bakery (for breakfast), and comapss cafe and bookstore (great salads, and lattes!

A big no: ESPN zone-service is SUPER slow and not that great.

Also at the DH: Captains Galley for healthy quick bites, and the coffee house for a quick muffin/coffee.

Are you referring to the new place that has moved in that area? I want to try this out when I go. Just wondering, was the fried chicken cold or hot?

The "new" Big Thunder Picnic serves cold chicken, and is only open from 11-3.

My favorite foods at the resort:

Prime Rib and Bread pudding and everything else at the Storytellers dinner buffet (grand californian)

French Dip with swiss cheese at Whitewater Snacks (grand californian)

Chicken Dinner from Plaza Inn on Main Street (Its big enough to share)

Free tortilla's at DCA, haha :)

Skewers from the Bengal BBQ (2 is enough for a meal for me)

I can't think of a particular meal at DCA that stands out, nor can I recommend any DtD eateries. I've have bad luck with service and food at DtD.

This is making me hungry :)

Yes, Big Thunder bbq is next to the petting zoo-on the path towards Fantasy land. The chicken, etc. was picnic style-cold. You took a metal bucket and put your drinks in, and they brought you your food. It has changed from the way it used to be. Check it out while you are there!

I don't remember seeing any bread pudding on the Storyteller's buffet. And believe me, I spent a lot of time at the dessert section. Maybe they rotate dessert offerings. I remember bread pudding on Goofy's - it was good.

I found Storyteller's to have one of the best dessert selections in terms of quality that I've ever had - maybe even surpassing Cape May at WDW.

Thanks. Do you know what the vegetarian option was?

I'm trying to remember-I think it was a salad of some sort. The kids meal had carrot sticks, which was a nice change of pace for my son. My husband and I split a meal, actually, as there was plenty of food. It was 3 or 4 pieces of chicken, potato salad, and something else, I think. The portions are pretty large at DL, so sometimes sharing is the way to go.
