The only real parameters for us is that it has to be two bedroom. A close second would be a great pool area.......

So, what are your fav's and why?

I have stayed at two Intervale timeshares in Orlando. They are The Vistana Resort and The Vistana Villages. They were both nice but the Villages were by far my favorite. The Vistana Resort is close to downtown disney and the Villages are close to sea World. The Villages resort smaller and newer. The pool is beautiful and the rooms were great. The Vistana resort was too big and hectic for us. I two young kids (5 and 7) and they loved both but would prefer the Villages.

Vistana resort
-close to WDW
-big and busy
- a little noisy
- many pools
- terrble check in (even with diamond lane checkin)
- rooms are not all equal ( you could get a new great room or an old
outdated room)
-many pools
-more onsite dinning options

Vistana Villages
- new and smaller resort
-easy check in
-you can't get a bad room
-there is only one small deli restaurant
-close to sea World and US/IOA
-very quiet
-great pool
-great staff ( my kids loved the activities staff)

We have be spoiled by II. We need the extra room because my son has severe ADHD and asperger's. He needs his own quiet space to relax.

I would go back to either but the Villages would be my first choice.

II - disney vacation club of course!

on disney property - so you get all the benefits of staying onsite.
OKW
VWL
BCV
BWV
SSR
and the brand new AKV - it hasn't opened yet.

then probably the Marriott
Cypress Harbour
Sabal Palms
Horizons
Grande Vista
Imperial Palms
Royal Palsm

Sheraton Vistana Resort

Cypress Pointe - very close - it doesn't have a great pool - but it is fine anyway.

CP and SVR with only with RCI until recently - now they are with both.

Calypos Cay Vacation Villa wasn't bad

a friend just loves
Parkway International Resort

a couple of people have liked
Sunterra's Polynesian Isle - another one that was only with RCI

Of course, all the DVC's. But also Marriott's Horizons (two zero entry pools with themed slides, mini water park, and miniature golf course) and Marriott's Cypress Harbour. Those are my favorites in Orlando.

Tough choice. We loved the Vistana first (not Villages but resort). The location was great, pool even better and we were in the quiet part of the resort which was lovely. Then probably Cypress Harbour, but it would depend on your kids ages. Great activities, small second bedroom. OK, location- not too close to Disney. For younger kids, hands down Horizons (Marriott). I loved it there. The unit was new, the pool was great fun for kids. There was some road noise, but we didn't mind. We've also stayed at Star Island, thought it was just OK and Cypress Pointe. Also, just OK, but better than Star Island.
