What is your favorite 'hidden gem' restaurant???

I really like Sanaa and the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch.

When we booked our ADR at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs, the CM went on and on about how wonderful the restaurant is. She actually used the term "hidden gem" during our conversation.

We had ressie's and Narcoosee's once for my b-day but ended up cancelling because we decided to stay in the parks that day. I hadn't even thought about rescheduling.... Great idea!!

What is Narcoosee's and where is it? I haven't been able to find it on the disney site!!!

For dinner, our favorite is Jiko; Olivia's and Yachtsman are both good too. Breakfast - Cape May Cafe and Grand Floridian cafe; Dessert: Beaches & Cream; Anytime: EOS

It's a signature restaurant at the Grand Floridian. Right at the edge of Seven Seas Lagoon. DH have eaten there twice and enjoyed it but I wouldn't consider it a 'hidden' gem. Signature restaurants are supposed to be gems.

Hands down The Wave. Other than Boma it is my favorite restaurant on property and it seems to never get mentioned other than on hidden gem or underrated restaurant threads.

I would have to say Raglan Road in DTD. It's an Irish pub, the Irish dancers are a lot of fun, and the food was fantastic!

Good luck in your decision! :goodvibes

For a hidden gem, we were pleasantly surprised with Shutter's on one of our visits, and we like Marrakesh

We loved our dinners at Sanaa, Kona and Kouzzina last month! All had unique offerings, food was delicious, service was terrific! :thumbsup2

For a breakfast, 1900 Park Fare was excellent and our favorite breakfast at WDW (only have done character breakfasts though)! :thumbsup2

We also loved our lunch at Chefs de France.

im with a few others up here, raglan road was great, the fish and chips was wonderful (though i have to admit i actually liked the fish and chips in england better, but then again that could have been cause i hadnt had anything to eat since breakfast and i was starving) we sat outside (which was nice since we are smokers and you can smoke outside, but dont worry if your not, there is plenty of space to locate you away from any smokers, though when we went we were the only ones and they sat us kind of away from everyone else, no one seemed to be botherd by our smoker) and they have a great selection of beers on tap.

also im with the majority, bomas for breakfast was awesome...

japan for sushi, some of the best sushi iv ever had. of course theres all kinds of stuff on the menu so im sure the kids could find something they like too...

also, i realize this is all table service, but i gotta say that peco's bills in the magic kingdom was great. good fast and very filling (they have a fixins' bar with cheese, chili, sauteed (sp?) onions and mushrooms, just great stuff) we just stopped in there real quick, wasnt expecting it to be anything special, and it was actually one of the best meals we had the whole trip!

OK, now that I've read through all these comments, Turf Club is definitely on my list for our upcoming trip!

My hidden gems are Boma and Kouzzina. I like to try ethnic foods and these 2 restaurants definitely deliver on both service and taste :thumbsup2

No one's mentioned Tokyo Dining in Japan yet? I guess I'm not sure how a 2 y/o would do (I'd probably be OK taking our 17 month old, but she's a good restaurant goer in general), but it's one of DH and I's most favorite places to eat in WDW! Not sure if your 2 y/o will be awake for the Epcot fireworks, but if she (he? sorry, didn't read very closely) can make it to a late dinner, they dim the lights in the place and pump the fireworks soundtrack in. Nothing better than sitting in a comfortable seat in an a/c'd restaurant watching Illuminations and eating dessert while everyone else outside is hot and crowded together at the railings :)

Maybe not a hidden gem, but our favorite restaurant is Biergarten at Epcot. I think your two year old would lvoe the Oompah band and dancing out on the floor. We found the food to be suprisingly good as well.

Oh, thanks for the suggestion! We might try Cape May for breakfast.

I would suggest Cape May Cafe for breakfast. It is a wonderful character meal with Goofy, Donald, and Minnie in their beach attire. The food and service is really good and the character interaction is top notch. We make a point of it to go here for breakfast at least once on our trips. The funny thing is, last night I just was talking about Cape May Cafe and suggested maybe not going here and doing something else...let me just say that I will never suggest that again :rotfl:
