With the holiday season upon us... get togethers are more common and it is my experience that parties that have "games" to participate in are usually more fun! Things like charades, pictionary, or variations on "board" games... they can make a gathering alot of fun. Make good gifts too! LOL!

So.....What is your favorite "game"?

For me ... I just love "Mad Gab" or "Pictionary" or a good old fashioned game of charades!

Traditional - monopoly (Disney version of course)

Cranium and Trivial Pursuit are my favorites.

We like to play scattagories (sp?) it can get pretty silly here though :teeth:

Ohhh... some new ones I don't know about!

Scattergories and Cranium? I guess I better look those up online. :)

One game I play all the time with my son while waiting for music lessons is "Hangman." I used to play it in Sunday School while waiting for the teacher. The other day we played it as a 4-some at a restaurant waiting for our food. All you need is a pen and a paper napkin.

Too tired to think about games right now, Dbl D, but just wanted to say it is so nice to see...............

Euchre or dominoes..

We like poker. That's our New Year's Eve tradition.....:D

I just want to say it is nice to see you again also, Laura.:D How are all those kitties doing? Being good I hope.:D

Scattegories is fun! Here's a little info about it, Laura. :)

~Its a word game of categories where all your answers have to begin with the same letter. For instance, you roll the big 20 sided die and it comes up with the letter R. Then fill in a word beginning with the letter R for each of the 12 categories like: An ice cream flavour (Rum & Raisin). A president (Reagan). A thing you find in the refrigerator (Radishes). And so on until the buzzer sounds after 3 minutes. Then compare your answers to the groups'. Duplicates score nothing, but original answers will get you a point. ~

Outburst, Boggle, Scrabble, word games are great! :)

Uno, an ultra simple card game, is lots of fun too. :)

We have several traditional favorites.

Christmas Eve.....we play Hearts

New Year's Eve........we play poker

New Year's Day.........we play Scattegories (probably our favorite)

We play alot of the ones mentioned. The adults will play goofy games all weekend.....

The kids will run around like banshees.

The seniors will play poker.

And it will be a ton of fun!

  Back at you guys! :teeth:

Some old favorites listed and some fun sounding games that I have not played before! I definitely need to check out scattergories. What is Cranium like?

Scrabble. I love Trivia Pursuit too. I'll be playing both after our turkey dinner on Thursday.:teeth:

Our new fave. game is Scene It. :teeth: We are taking it to my mom's on Thanksgiving.

Also love Mad Gab and Trivial Pursuit. :)

Our family loves to play games we go through phases of which is our favorite......

I our house it is Trivia Pursuit, Mad Gab (hysterical game), Pictionary, we also like Guestures. But we like Shep always break out the dominoes! WE've got all our friends hooked on this.

My DSIL & I play trouble but we put our own spin on it by playing Double Trouble (2 colors each)! She kicks my butt every time!

It's nice to hear so many families still enjoy playing games!
