Just back yesterday from an 11 day trip to the World...we loved Biergarten for our first Disney meal, it was so much fun! I'm glad that's on your list. We didn't like Kona (and we stayed at the Poly), it was very disappointing and one of our least favorite meals. The food quality wasn't that great and the sushi was actually bad. The salmon sashimi was the wrong texture--mushy!
At Epcot, Tutto Italia was our favorite. We eat out a lot and live in a city with so many good Italian restaurants that I'm always reluctant to go out for Italian anywhere else. My DH's friend from Italy highly recommended Tutto Italia and I'm so glad she did! It was authentic (seriously, like meals I've had in Italy) and delicious. We had the mozzarella, tomato and basil appetizer--the mozzarella was so fresh and light, it was perfect. I had the salmon on green lentils and DH had the cavatelli with sausage, both were really good. DD12 had the farfalle with prosciutto, peas and cream sauce and I think that was the best, but it was really rich. DD12 wisely at about half of it and then DH and I pilfered the rest! DD9 had the spaghetti and meatballs, it looked good, but I didn't try it. For dessert, I had the profiteroles which were yummy, pretty straightforward. DD12 had the mocha tiramisu which looked really good and DH had the Bugie/Chiacchere which are strips of dough that have been deep fried and are then coated with powdered sugar. DD9 had gelato. The waiters were really nice and it was totally worth it on the
DDP.
We also ate at Restaurant Marrakesh and it was a great surprise. DD12 and DH loved the chicken and beef kebabs. I had the couscous with chicken--there were lots of vegetables in the couscous, zucchini, tomatoes, chickpeas, onion and butternut squash, and the chicken was roasted and very tender. We really liked the CS in Morocco, so it was fun to try the TS and have it be just as good.
Finally, we ate at Tokyo Dining which was good, but the service was confusing and if you're not a sushi lover, the other choices aren't that thrilling. DH is not a fan of fish and he was not happy with the Japanese Chicken Cutlet--it looked a lot like the chicken patties they used to serve at the dining hall in college. Teppan Edo did look like a lot of fun, but we eat hibachi at home so I wanted to try something else.
Hope this helps!
