We're trying to get more seats in the Illuminations grand gathering dinner, but I need a backup plan! We're already planning on the Biergarten, Kona and Brown Derby for dinners, plus 3 character breakfasts.
I don't think I'll be able to get Le Cellier for dinner at this point, what should I try for?
I feel like I should add that we live in Philadelphia and eat out a good amount, all types of cuisine. :thumbsup2

Don't overlook Rose & Crown or Marakeesh either........they both offer some great dining options and experiences. I would highly recommend the cheese plate at R&C, it was a wonderful plate of cheese, nuts and fruit!

:thumbsup2

My new favorite Epcot TS is Tutto Italia. I am Italian and I thought the food was excellant.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I liked Le Cellier Steakhouse in Canada and it's hard to get the reservation, even back when you could make them at the 180 mark.

Teppen Edo is good too. My DW loves the Italian food, but didn't like the Italian place at Epcot.

Friends we go with usually do Marrakesh while we do Harvest Grill with the kids. They love Marrakesh.

i asked the same thing a few wks back i think...i was told chefs de france or tepan edo..we went with teppan edo..super easy to get my ADR for

We relaly liked the resturant in Germany - it is buffet style with an Octoberfest band - fun for a large group!!

Just back yesterday from an 11 day trip to the World...we loved Biergarten for our first Disney meal, it was so much fun! I'm glad that's on your list. We didn't like Kona (and we stayed at the Poly), it was very disappointing and one of our least favorite meals. The food quality wasn't that great and the sushi was actually bad. The salmon sashimi was the wrong texture--mushy!

At Epcot, Tutto Italia was our favorite. We eat out a lot and live in a city with so many good Italian restaurants that I'm always reluctant to go out for Italian anywhere else. My DH's friend from Italy highly recommended Tutto Italia and I'm so glad she did! It was authentic (seriously, like meals I've had in Italy) and delicious. We had the mozzarella, tomato and basil appetizer--the mozzarella was so fresh and light, it was perfect. I had the salmon on green lentils and DH had the cavatelli with sausage, both were really good. DD12 had the farfalle with prosciutto, peas and cream sauce and I think that was the best, but it was really rich. DD12 wisely at about half of it and then DH and I pilfered the rest! DD9 had the spaghetti and meatballs, it looked good, but I didn't try it. For dessert, I had the profiteroles which were yummy, pretty straightforward. DD12 had the mocha tiramisu which looked really good and DH had the Bugie/Chiacchere which are strips of dough that have been deep fried and are then coated with powdered sugar. DD9 had gelato. The waiters were really nice and it was totally worth it on the DDP.

We also ate at Restaurant Marrakesh and it was a great surprise. DD12 and DH loved the chicken and beef kebabs. I had the couscous with chicken--there were lots of vegetables in the couscous, zucchini, tomatoes, chickpeas, onion and butternut squash, and the chicken was roasted and very tender. We really liked the CS in Morocco, so it was fun to try the TS and have it be just as good.

Finally, we ate at Tokyo Dining which was good, but the service was confusing and if you're not a sushi lover, the other choices aren't that thrilling. DH is not a fan of fish and he was not happy with the Japanese Chicken Cutlet--it looked a lot like the chicken patties they used to serve at the dining hall in college. Teppan Edo did look like a lot of fun, but we eat hibachi at home so I wanted to try something else.

Hope this helps!

we loved coral reef. we were there for 10 days and the vote was split between the 4 of us le cellier and coral reef all of our top 2

I would for sure keep trying for Le Cellier or 2nd choice would be Tutto;)

Last year, I made 8:00 reservations for Rose Crown & Pub. We were allowed to watch the fireworks on the deck behind the restaurant, which is right on the water! We had such a great view of illuminations without 10000 people trying to crowd in (use of deck is only for people eating there). We requested for our meal to be held until after the fireworks, and it sure was..it was warm still also, so we knew they didn't just leave it out, they timed it right!!! Excellent experience, food was pretty good... If you're looking for a nice place to view illuminations during dinner, go here!

Marrakech is excellent. The food is good and the entertainment and atmosphere are really nice. It's different because you really feel like you're eating somewhere else.

The last couple of times we were in Epcot we had dinner at CR...it was good and love the atmosphere, but for this upcoming trip I wanted to try something else. Therefore we are dining at R&C (have been wanting to try the fish and chips) and cannot wait. The other TS meal we had that was really good was Chefs De France.

Our favorite? Toss up between 9 Dragons and Coral Reef...depends on what we have a taset for.
