What is your favorite DVC Resort

This is not going to help you at all, but it's the honest truth. I could own at any DVC resort and be perfectly happy. These are in no particular order:

BCV - Stormalong Bay & location
BWV - Light decor, 2nd favorite pool, and boardwalk
VWL - Stunning lodge, homey feel, great pool, and boat rides to MK
OKW - Feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere on Dis property, lush landscaping, large rooms/balconies, lowest point structure
SSR - Favorite DVC decor, beautiful grounds (will be prettier over time), lower point structure, proximity to DTD, and THV
AKV - 2nd favorite DVC decor, and the animals!

Even though I haven't stayed there yet, I know us...
BLT - Amazing views (MK or Bay Lake), access to everything in the Contemporary, and monorail access

Up next...
VB - Going this summer! Purchased sight unseen. I know we will love it, as who doesn't LOVE a combo of Disney and the beach? :goodvibes

HHI - someday! :beach:

Our absolute favorite is BCV because:

1) the theming
2) SAB
3) w/in walking distance to Epcot & DHS
4) the Boardwalk is nearby
:beach:

We like SSR because it's spread out. After long days t the parks, I can come "home" and it doesn't feel like we are at a hotel / resort. Also, I don't feel like it's ever crowded...

Favorite DVC Resort: SSR (we like it because of the beautiful landscaping and theme, and because it's so relaxing and quiet. I am happy just thinking about it!!!)

Favorite non-DVC Reosrt: CSR (this is where we used to stay pre-DVC and we have fond memories there. Also like the theme there as well.)

BWVs ~ stay in a BW view room just once, & you'll know why:cloud9: plus, the grand entrance, beautiful lobby & rooms, sociable CMs, so much to do (carny games, strolling performers, restaurants, etc) right at your fingertips as well quite a few secluded areas to wander, great themed pool as well as a (truly) "quiet" pool, BW bakery for b'fast (YUM!), just a short walk to EPCOT or MGM.

BWVs are being in the middle of it all, while still being away from it all ::yes::

My favorite DVC is whichever one I'm staying in :rotfl: -- and after Feb trip, we will have stayed at each of the current DVCs!!!

Right now my favorite is BCV. My favorite used to be BWV and before that it was VWL. Stay tuned, it might change again!!

I love OKW it's like a tropical paradise, the background music gets me in the vacation mood. The lights at Olivia's, the food! I could go on and on.pixiedust: pirate:

They're all nice, but our fav is our home resort - BWV. We "bonded".:goodvibes

DisFlan

First is VGC - Because it's at Disneyland which is our favorite park!

Second is AKV - for the unique, highly themed and highly immersive resort experience.

BWV for me.
The location is perfect for walking to two parks, and I really like to walk at Disney since we are snowbound here almost half the year. Having the boat for backup is nice too, as I avoid the buses as much as possible.
The view from a balcony overlooking the Boardwalk can be so much fun for people watching or gazing at the Spaceship Earth, sipping a glass of wine and thanking my lucky stars to be at WDW.
I love the colors used in decorating the villas, especially the crisp blue and white kitchens. It feels so cheerful and homey. It just fits my taste.

SSR! It is my HOME resort so I'm partial, but I really do feel so calm when I'm there, more than any other resort. I think it's so pretty & peaceful with the lime green & peach colors, the rolling hills of the golf course, the fountains, the beautiful pathways & the relaxing boat ride to DTD. Other than SSR we've stayed at BCV, BWV, VWL & HHI & they're all really nice for various reasons, but it's always great to go HOME! :goodvibes

Ditto here too.....we love sitting on our balcony watching everyone on the boardwalk playing the games there. illuminations fireworks.....can't wait to go back::yes::

Mine is VWL. The whole package, the geyser, the lakeviews from the resort, the electrical parade/firework watching from the beach at night, the magnificent architecture of the main lobby, the little nooks and crannies of the ground floor of the villa where here are stone fireplaces with rocking chairs, there's a common room with checkers/games, the Bear Den where you can drop in with your DGC in the afternoon and make a mask or do a craft, there are rocking chairs on the porch. There's a stream in the lobby!!! The villa pool has little bubbling springs! You can enjoy a boat ride...especially the little zippy ones that are open air to MK, FW, Cont. Gosh, WDW is hectic, is fun, a wonderful magical place, but this puts me in touch with my roots, my essence...this magic stays in me.

I was a fan of the original Discovery Island. Would take the boat over with my Dfamily and we could walk the trails and spend hours there. Once we sat in an covered place during a rainstorm, and these little animals, I suppose some sort of rodent...cute little ones, size of large bunnies, took shelter with us. I think all 4 of us remember that day as special.

I smile when the ME bus passes under the arches, but I shine when we pull into the WL!

Bobbi:goodvibes

PS. Full disclosure, we own at 4 other DVC homes, it's not the only place that we stay at, but it is the one that I could not do without.
