Hi Everyone,

What is your favorite day of the week to check in to a WDW resort hotel for best room selections? :scratchin

We have always gone Sunday to Sunday, but the next trip we take we want to go for 10 nights. I was just wanted to know everyones opinion on which day of the week would be best to check in for a 10 night stay. :confused3

I value my fellow DISers opinions! Please post.

maybe Wednesday????

I also check in Sun - but I am a DVC member and I am generally gone by Friday.

now if you are checkin into a DVC resort - Friday....

we checked in one day and there was no one - I can't remember if it was Tuesday or Wednesday....

Doesn't matter Except to be early.

I like to check-in on Friday, but we have only done it that way once. The second time will be in Sept. and that will also be on a Friday.

The first time around we were able to get into our room really early (around 12pm) so I am hoping for the same again!

If I can SUNDAY!!! but anyday we can check in is a magical day!!! :thumbsup2

We'll be checking in on Friday too. I'm hoping that the room will be ready but if it's not, it won't be a big deal. We're hoping to get there early that day hopefully before lunch. :cool2:

Tracy,
I agree with you. If we don't drive, we are hoping to get an airline flight arriving by 10am. We'll see if that happens. If we get the flight then, my family can spend a good portion of the late morning "playing" first.

I have to wait for the SouthWest "DING" fares closer to our trip to see if we can fly or not though!

We're going to checking in on a Saturday hopefully before lunch. I know the room may not be ready, but we're going to just hang out at the pool until it's ready so it really won't matter. May I ask though, what was the reason for the OP's question? Do you possibly get a better room depending on what day you check in or what? :confused3

We're checking in on a Tuesday. Hoping to do this early in the morning, 10:00ish. I was hoping that we would get a good room and bigger discounted airfare this way. What a difference a day can make when flying. We'll see. We might not even fly anyway. I've just recently started considering driving. It'll be 8-10 hours. :scratchin

Does this mean since we won't be getting in until the evening we won't get a good room? Well, I guess there really can't be a "bad" room, we'll be at Disney!! :woohoo:

Last two trips, checked in on Saturday... always early (by 10:00 a.m.). Room was ready once and got what we wanted (AllStar Sports) and the second time, wasn't ready (POFQ) - ended up with a handicapped room but asked to be switched so DS could take baths. That took a while. We weren't in our room until after 5 that time. We just played at the pool, went to DTD - we should have went straight to MK!

This time checking in on a Tuesday by 10:30 or so, but it's the Tuesday after Easter and the resorts are almost full - so..... I figure I'll be lucky to get A room, regardless of our "requests". The only thing I can't handle is a room that has been smoked in.... GRRRRRR :furious:
