I LOVE cha cha slide.

My second favorite may be The Electric Slide.

Wished I knew how to do a poll on this question.

Your favorite?

Since I DJ, I play a ton of these things.... so I have been trying to get people to do this one.... At least in the Philly area, it seems, not many know it.

It is called the Mississippi Cha Cha Slide or the Mississippi Stomp. I absolutely love it.... you can skip the first 22 seconds of the video....

I also like the Cupid Shuffle, because it is SO SIMPLE that even I can do it - most of the time. ;)

Ok, I have another question for you.

We, as a family, this past week, went to Willow Valley resort, Lancaster, PA for their New Year's Eve celebration. We had a blast -- very family oriented. Psst. you can Youtube our event.

Anyhoo, as I suggested to the DJ to do the cha cha slide, he also told me that he wanted to play what I thought he said was the "Cuban Mambo". The DJ told me it was VERY popular within the past year, I've never heard of it. Well, he didn't play it and it was very LOUD of course.

Do you know what the Cuban Mambo is? I've tried YOutubing that title. Maybe I heard the DJ's words wrong.

I'm so curious.

Yes, I love that one. It's sooo easy! I'm 29 years old & still haven't figured out the Electric Slide (OMG did I just admit that online for everyone to see)

Papa Duece,

another question......is the KP Corral (I believe it's called that) still there by the King of Prussia Mall?

I remember that place played another group dance song that I couldn't catch on and learn it.

I used to go there back in 1992.

Nope. It is now a restaurant called Fox and Hound.

Interesting topic, SeeDisney - I like it! :thumbsup2

My faves are the electric slide, the butterfly and everyone's beloved wedding dance... I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll.

I know... I'm a geek.

I know when I was in HS, every time somebody played "My Sharona" by The Knack, it was like instant massive dance-line time. Everybody would line up behind one person, grab the person in front of them's waist and we'd all kind of shuffle around the room and kick out with one leg every time the singer said "My Sharona!".:cool1:

I have to say, I have DJ'd about 200 weddings.... I know the song well, but have NEVER played it. Never been asked for it, either.

At my wedding the big "group" dance was to Paradise by the Dashboard Light.

I always loved the electric slide but now when they play it I do my arm movements from my chair, but I still get into it. I wish they'd have had the cha cha slide back then. It looks like so much fun. OMGosh do I miss dancing.

The YMCA !

(of course we can sing the special Idaho Senator version "You are so Gay" ):)

The Bootie Call- I don't know if this a Baltimore thing. I've never heard this anywhere else. But it's always played at weddings and parties here. Similiar to the Electric Slide with a little more "bootie" in it.:lmao: :lmao:

I was just gonna post the Booty Call!! And, you may be right. It may only be a regional thing, because all my family in Howard and Montgomery Counties love it, too!

And I think it has a WHOLE lot more booty in it (especially when our family gets on the floor). :lmao:

Mine especially!! LOL

I like the Electric Slide, Cha cha slide, plus I know how to do the Cotton Eye Joe. At this country bar place by my house, the DJ there would play the Ghost Train, & that's a big hit.
