We finally had the opportunity to use sunscreen for the first time this spring and I was reminded of how sticky it is. Do you have a favorite, clear mist, nonsticky, sweat proof, but still lets you breath sunscreen? What do you use for your face?

Thanks.

I love the spray-on Waterbabies. It goes one well, and doesn't need to be reapplied too often. I just spray inside my hands then wipe onto my face.

Neutrogena Ultra. It goes on dry and not sticky. I can't stand sticky sun block. It comes in cream and spray. The spray is COLD!

I am interested in these replies too as last year our sunscreen turned all of our white shirts orange! It was very wierd!

We also use Neutrogena Ultra. DD is a fair-skinned redhead with super sensitive skin. It's the only sunscreen that doesn't cause her to break out in a rash when in the sun.

I agree with Neutrogena. After applying it your skin is dry, not sticky.

We use the banana boat babies. It's the only kind that doesn't irritate our DD's eyes. Any other type, her eyes instantly start tearing and she looks like a racoon.

Neutrogena has a sheer liquid sunscreen (note that it's not a cream!) that I love to use. I break out super easy, and this keeps my skin clear and I don't feel weighted down or greasy after using it. The only downfall is the price, and the small size of the bottle. But a little goes a long way, and I've never burned while using it!

Neutrogena Spray Sunscreen is great! You can't even feel it; not sticky or greasy at all, and it works great.

You'll need to use something else for you face, though, rather than a spray. My favorite everyday sun block/facial moisturizer is Eucerin Sensitive Skin Facial Moisture Lotion, SPF 30. You can get it in the facial product section at drugstores like Walgreens (it's not in the sunscreen section, but in the facial product section). It's a lightweight, non-greasy, and wonderful for my sensitive skin. I use it for my everyday moisturizer, and love the fact that it's an SFP 30. It's great under make-up. I tried using a couple of the Neutrogena brand face lotions, but like the texture of the Eucerin one the best.

I live in the south where we don't go outside without sunscreen.:rotfl: I have tried all kinds of sunscreens over the years. My husband likes the Bullfrog spray. I always use the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer dry touch spray with helioplex in spf 100 or spf 70. For my face, I just spray it into my hands and rub it in. It is never sticky and dries quickly. You never know you have it on, but it's waterproof, sweatproof, and non-comodogenic, so it doesn't clog your pores.

I try to stay away from chemical sunscreens but it's really hard to find a good mineral one. Last year we used TruKids and that's our favorite so far.

Banana Boat SPF 80 Sport. It seems to have fewer chemicals than some of the other brands, and Sport is essential -- this sunblock NEVER runs into my eyes! In March I still got a tiny bit pink with SPF 80 and also tanned a little, but am super fair and super sensitive to sun, so it isn't terribly surprising.

We like the "as natural as possible" sunscreens too (although I've found we get hit by rogue spray suncreen folks at WDW often enough ;)). My favorite is Loving Naturals - the ingredient list is great. Can't say it's the easiest to apply, but if you take a few minutes it's well worth it and protects great (as opposed to the convenience of spray sun screen). Not a burn yet!

For every day my husband used NoAd and I use Neutrogena for faces. We both use Coppertone Sport when playing tennis or golf because it is sweat proof and we live in the south. Check Consumer Reports....I think they did an article several years ago comparing all the choices.

Most sunscreens make my face itch and feel like its on fire. For the past 10+ year, I have used Neutrogena's Healthy Defense Oil Free Sunblock Stick SPF 30. It's a small stick about the size of three chapsticks put together. They also have a baby formula, but that irritates my skin. Walgreens makes a generic version that works just as well.

We always use (and like) Banana Boat Kids Lotion Mist SPF 50, or the Clear Mist. It sprays on easily (we actually rub it in once we spray it on the skin), and soaks in quickly, leaving your non-greasy and covered well. It never runs (it soaks right in, and you can't even tell you have it on), and it is safe for the face. I have very sensitive skin. I can't even use mainstream soap products, or cleaning products, but this sunblock is fine.

It is unscented (which is a plus for us) and works great. We live here, and go out several days a week, all year round, and go through TONS of the stuff. We never go to a park, or out to play without it, whether it's cloudy or sunny (the harmful rays are always there).

Good luck, and remember to re-apply every hour and a half or two, put your sunblock on before you go into the sun (you need to let it soak in for about 15 minutes before exposing it to the sun), and don't forget your ears :thumbsup2.

Have fun!

I use shiseido ultra sun lotion (SPF 50) for my allergies which is very thin and light. It works great for my face as well. Down side is that it is very expensive and easy to waste because it is runny (which I find useful of me)

My boyfriend is using Neutrogena pure&free sensitive (SPF 50) for his allergies which is thick but not greasy. I probably wouldn't use it on my face unless I had to. It is a lot cheaper than the shiseido stuff which is a perk.

The other one I like for winter here is the Burt's Bees one. I ran out but I believe it is only SPF 25 or 30)

I use banana Boat Baby sunscren. It's very water-resistant and, best of all, unscented.

We have been using the Up+Up no-rub spray from Target for the past 2 years, and I love it. It dries quickly, isn't sticky, and we never burn in NY or FL. It's also a lot cheaper than other brands, so that is a bonus.

I use Neutrogena faces something or other. Small bottle, SPF 50, doesn't make me break out.
