My husband asked me what I would like for my birthday and I told him I would like a book about DL that talks about the park ,the attractions, the lands and all the history. To which he said" What's the name of the book?":confused3
So what do you recommend?:surfweb:

The Vault of Walt is a good book, but it's more stories about Walt Disney than just Disneyland. There were a few neat stories about the beginning of Disneyland though.

Hands down, for me, it is the "The Disneyland Encyclopedia: The Unofficial, Unauthorized, and Unprecedented History of Every Land, Attraction, Restaurant, Shop, and Event in the Original Magic Kingdom"

I could not put this book down. Got it from my local library one time and my husband ended up getting me my own copy because I kept raving about how cool all the information in it. I just saw it at a Barnes & Noble and Amazon also carries it.

My husband bought me Disneyland, Then Now and Forever and I really like it. It has a lot of the history in it.

Yep!!! DITTO!!

Such an awesome and interesting book -- it's currently sitting on my couch as most of us dip in and out of it throughout the day :lovestruc

The Disneyland Encyclopedia is awesome! It has the history of every ride, store, attraction, show, venue, person, and landmark ever associated with Disneyland. I was completely obsessed with this book when I read it and I still frequently look through it. Definitely worth buying!

Ding ding ding.....we have a winner! Thanks everyone:flower3:. The encyclopedia sounds perfect. I'll pass on the info to DH. I can hardly wait:woohoo:
