What is your fashion at DL?

Diamonds or pearls? Blue jean, capris, shorts? Fanny packs, backpack, hand bag, wallet? Tennis shoes, high heels (ugh!) flip flops?

Glam or casual?

Well, I do use a fanny pack at DL, but I stop short of calling it fashion!

Casual! I dont worry much about fashion while I'm there, I even break a few rules- like socks with my teva sandles. LOL! A typically day you would see me in shorts ( I dont care if people see my short, fat, pale legs!), a tshirt or maybe a button up type shirt, and either keds or tevas. I use my small camera bag for the camera and small items and money rather then a purse or wallet. Sometimes I'll bring a tote bag or small backpack if I'm concerned about having jackets or something like that. We try to go light to the park. I hate packing things around all day.

My typical fashion was :

- Jeans
- Shirt (I mostly wore Disney shirts)
- Beautiful pouch (aka : fanny pack - and beautiful is a joke - it is a black nylon)
- Skechers
- My Tinkerbell lanyard holding all of our tickets and fastpasses (I told DH that if I didn't get a lanyard to hold our tickets I was going to hold us up all day checking my pouch for the tickets that I already knew were in there - I have a bit of OCD at times....)
- Sunglasses

Super casual:
Jeans (or shorts or capris if I go in the summer)
a blouse made of polyester & spandex for summer (they are so cool in the summer) or a long sleeve t-shirt or disney shirt in winter along with a Hoodie or leather jacket if it's really cold
Scott Hawaiian sandals (aka flip flops -- but -- they are rubber, about 3 inches thick in the heel and 2 inches thick by the toes so super comfy and cushiony!) no matter what time of the year I go
Or if it's really cold, Easy Spirit athletic shoes or Easy Spirit open heel shoes are dressier but even more comfortable than the athletic shoes.
Fanny pack for hands free ease when using DSLR and/or Camcorder.

T-shirts, capri pants or shorts, comfy shoes (I have plans to get some Disney Crocs before our next trip) sunglasses, sunscreen, and a smile!
I have seen people all "dolled" up in the park, and while I think they look great (and not "frumpy tourist" like me) I wonder how they can be comfortable? My feet kill me in sneakers, if I were in heels I think I would get as far as the Partners Statue and have to hail a cab, LOL!!

Good thread! I have decided that comfort is the key! I was just telling my hubby that I don't worry how I look at DL anymore since I won't be seeing anyone I know. Of course, I was telling him this after I had just convinced him to try some of the men's new CROCS! (he loved them by the way because they were so comfortable)
Anyway, must haves in my wardrobe are my khaki cargo pants and my Disney crocs. Anything else gets chosen according to the weather. Shirt has to be red or white to go with my red crocs.
For 10 days of DL walking I have started wearing compression socks. What a difference! Between them and the crocs my legs didn't hurt at all last year.

Whatever is most comfortable for the season! If it is winter and cold it is usually jeans or cords and a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt with my jacket. And yes I have a fanny pack or messenger type bag. I can't stand carrying things and I get migraines so I can't even stand things pressing on my shoulder as it gives me migraines. So I have to have something around my waist! I don't care if people think it looks dumb I can't deal with the pain and who cares what they think I have to worry about my health! If it is summer it is shorts and T-shirts (usually Disney ones). I always have to wear a visor as again my eyes are very sensitive to light (migraines again). And as for shoes it is always crocs. My furry ones in winter and my athens sandals in summer. Or sometimes my disney ones with (gasp) socks. I have to wear socks because if my feet sweat I get blisters. Again I don't care if I look dumb it is all about comfort and being able to last and have a good trip. I could care less if people laugh or think I look stupid because if I worry about that and get a blister or a headache then I am letting them win and I end up in my room and my vacation is ruined!

I've never worn a pair of crocs before. Last year my feet almost wouldn't walk me out of the park they hurt so bad. You think I would do better in crocs? And the compression socks...I've never heard of them before. I'll have to investigate this a little further! Thanks

This is totally me! I just got my first Lanyard so I wouldn't have to dig and check on my tickets all day long. Now I am worried about the lanyard coming unhooked. I cant win.

I got my lanyard at the hotel gift shop after we spent a few hours at DCA. It has a clip AND a key chain type circle that can attach to the hole in the plastic that holds the tickets. So I am doubly protected, LOL.

I have the OCD thing when I leave the house too. I always think "Did I turn off the oven? Is the heat off? Did I shut the door?" and numerous other stupid stuff.

I hate the OCD. Luckily, it does not consume my life. Just little quirks now and then.

Yep...COMFORT...I try not to worry too much about how I look at the parks, but also dont want to look like a slob. I don't wear makeup (might get wet and wash off anyway). Jeans or cargo pants and a comfy/cute shirt. Asics (sp?) tennis shoes, a baseball hat (my hair will go crazy if it gets wet. My landyard - I got a free one with my last package, but I plan to upgrade next time. A mini backpack and moisture socks.....I've never work crocs, the asics were great last time....tho my legs hurt after the 5th day....

I really need arch support, so I wear my New Balance tennies. Also low rise moisture wicking socks; I've got some Nike ones right now that are great. Feet don't bother me at all at the end of a long walking day-- legs, that's another matter! Then jeans or capris... t-shirts and a sweatshirt for cooler weather.

I also wear a fanny pack. It looks ridiculous, but I don't care When you get on rides you just turn it around to the front; no hauling your purse or backpack on and off. I clip a Nalgene bottle of water to the belt. I picked up a cheap thin wallet which I keep separate in my front pocket ('cause I'm afraid it'll fall out of my fanny pack while I'm rooting around in there for lip balm or snacks). It's big enough for my i.d., one credit card, my room key and my park ticket (and fastpasses! ).

I started wearing a bandana tied pirate fashion on my head, cause I tend to get sunburned along the part in my hair! Ouch!

Oh yeah, socks w/ coolmax or other moisture wicking socks are the bomb. Since I've started wearing them, I never get blisters when wearing sports shoes. I've never worn crocs either. I tried them at the store, and it just doesn't feel comfortable to me. I don't get it. However, I do have high arches, so maybe that's why???

I usually wear khaki cargo pants or casual slacks, something that dries fairly quickly after those wet water rides (capris in warmer weather). With that a nice casual shirt or my disney polo shirt, crocs (with or without socks), and sunglasses. We use a mini backpack for snacks, hand sanitizer, camera, and a couple of water bottles.

- light jacket (in locker for night use)
- crocs (with socks! sorry but without, my feet get rubbed wrong)

but its okay, I buy socks the same color as my crocs so you can't really notice
