A few of the cruises we've looked at only have rooms left on Deck 1 (mid) or Deck 2 (aft).

I read that the Deck 2 aft ones are quite noisy.

How about the ones on Deck 1? What are they like?

We had 2122 on the Magic a few months ago and had no noise. We'd have no problem with booking it again.

Check out the Stateroom Reports ...

Click on "Staterooms" at the top of this page

Click "View all Stateroom Reports"
You can then view reports that other cruisers have posted.

We stayed in 1068 and 1066 last time on the Wonder, and in a few months we're going to stay in rooms across the hall (inside this time). We had no problem with the location/noise/anything. Once you are in the the elevator, it doesn't take much longer to get to the 1st floor than others. We also saved LOTS of money by staying down there.

We were in 1051 and 1053 last year and had no problems, we loved it and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

On one cruise we stayed in Room 1030 (Wonder) - the very last room forward. The only noise we ever heard was when they took up the gangway. Only a few rooms there so little foot traffic and noise.

Have a wonderful time.

When I first learned our room location for our first cruise (1058) I was a little disappointed. But for many of the reasons listed by other posters we loved it on deck 1. We even booked it for the August repo next year.

We heard many other cruisers complain about noise in their cabins (mostly from other passengers around them). Deck 1 has its own "white noise" which drowned out people noise.

Have a great time...

we stayed in 1077/1075 last year and had no complaints at all. In fact, I have rebooked the same rooms on the Magic for next January. Very little noise ~ mostly a humming or whirring sound off and on and definitely not enough to be a concern. Laundry is only 1 deck above, elevators were always ready. The only thing that was a slight pain was that deck 1 does not go the entire length of the ship to the aft (well, it does, but it's not accesible to guests) When we docked at CC, the gangway was located on deck 1 aft so in order to get off the ship, you had to go up to deck 2, walk to deck 2 aft, then go down to deck 1 aft. But it wasn't a big deal....I just looked at it as a little extra exercise and boy did we need it after all that great food!!

Were on Deck 1, room 1065 on May 20th Magic. Hopefully quiet, Will let ya know. Has anyone ever had this room? :fish:

Wonder 1036 was mine last June. I fretted when I didn't get deck 2 with a large porthole, but I decided that knowing I had 1036 instead of trying to get moved and perhaps winding up in a "noisy" room on deck 2 was better.
With my luck, I'd have wound up right under Rt. 66 clubs and then DH would have been a pill to live with. The cruise was all idea to start with.
DD11 didn't like to see the water outside the 2 small portholes anyway, so a large one would have been closed off with curtains all the time.
Always able to catch the forward elev. with no problem. Some water-slapping noises, but none of the creaking wood stuff that I read lots about.
Enjoy!

We stayed in room 1056 in April and did not mind it at all, It was very quiet and near to the stairs and elevators. It was a great room and I think that the ship's motion is less noticeable there as well. It was really nice on port days to be right there on deck 1 to disembark. I wouldn't hesitate to stay on deck 1 again. :sunny:

Our whole family cruised last Nov and we had 4 room midship deck one (I did a room report and I think they were 1066-1068 and two other connecting) The rooms were very nice and no noise. We had the two small port holes and I think were Cat 9. If we get to go again I would take deck 1 without any hesitation and would also look into the inside Cat 11. Have a good trip!

We r staying on deck 1 - first cruise. We were on deck 6 and wanted a larger room so we upgraded to a deluxe oceanview room and r now on deck 1 which costs more. I hope we r not disappointed
