I was asked this at work last night...
What is the earliest thing you remember? How old were you? And do you think/know it was actually a memory or just a story that you heard so many times it seems like an actual memory?
I was around 3 and I remember the Landlords granddaughter used to read me this book that was a red hardcover with a black crow in it. I don't remember the book name or even the story line but remember this girl reading it to me vividly. I didn't even know it was the Landlords granddaughter until a couple years ago when I was telling this story and my mother said "you remember that! She used to babysit you, it was the LL GD!"
DH's earliest memories are around the age of 3 as well but his mom swears a couple of them he could not possible remember!

. I asked my DM why we couln't give him back.

My mom says I didn't speak to her for a few days, but eventually the new babies won me over. I finally did get my girl, but not until after another set of twin brothers were born.
