Counselor-I'm a high school math teacher working on my counseling masters. I can't wait to have my own office, and do everything differently than most counselors I've known! I just wish I could make a decent living doing it.

I'd like to be a baseball play-by-play announcer.

Psychiatrist.

I know it can be depressing work (boom boom) but it helps people and that is the most nobel thing in life.

I have two dream jobs:

One would be to volunteer at a no-kill animal shelter. Since we are dreaming here, I would be volunteering because I would already have enough money! I love cats and dogs & I would love to be in a role where I am helping take care of unwanted or in-transition pets & help them find new homes. :dog::cat:

My second dream job would be to be a behaviorist for dolphins! I am currently a behaviorist for children with autism & I love my job, but I would love to try another aspect of my field & conduct dolphin studies teaching them cognitive skills. I was fascinated by the dolphin researchers at Epcot who were conducting their cognitive/behavioral studies!!:fish:

I'm a SAHM now, but I'm seriously thinking about going back to school for certification for elem school teacher. I'd also enjoy teaching History (which is what my BA is in). Right now our younger dd is 3, so I'll wait til she's in school full-time. I used to sub all the time at our older dd's elem school and loved it.

I voted 'other' because my dream job wasn't up there. If I could make money doing it, I'd be a novel writer. However, it's very tough to break into the field (or at least it seems that way to me). Probably the only ones who will ever see my books and short stories are friends and family.

Don't give up! Remember, JKR was a single mom on welfare when Scholastic signed her. My dream is to be a published author, but I've never planned that as my only professionl. I've done one in a Chicken Soup book and my goal is to have my first novel (young adult) in the hands of a book agent or publisher by the time I get my Master's in May.

Please don't give up! I'll bet you're a great author, and one day everybody on the Dis will be buying your book and saying, "I knew her before she was famous!"

I wanted to be a nurse before I had kids. But then the kids came along and neither of us wanted to have them raised in a daycare. So that left me to stay home. I have enjoyed staying with them and I am happy to not have missed a moment of their younger years. BUT I have started my prereqs to get in the the Nursing program here.:cool1: As the kids get older they get more expensive so a second income wouldn't hurt either;)

Psychiatrist.

Aw, you had to go and be noble, didn't you? Makes my beer cart dreams seem so trivial in comparison. ;)

When I figure it out, I'll let you know. Last 2 careers were ok, it was the customers & stress (from boss's decisions) that I hated.

Currently happier than I ever imagined I would be just being a stay-at-home-wife. Hate that term. I prefer "lady of leisure". :goodvibes You have no idea how hard it was for me to adjust to this when I left my job. lol Its SOOOOO NOT what I ever pictured me doing. :rotfl2: I have a nice little super-flexible part time job working a few hours a month & it pays pretty good. Just enough for now.

I would like to be in charge of communications/public relations for a big company.

My dream job would combine my two loves. I would love to work for Disney but with children. I would love to use my education degree to work with Disney to create programs for young children.

Funny, I often think the same thing. I guess I'm starting to become a little worn down by the energy zap and emotional strain that working consistently with children who have challenging behaviors can cause. I would love to spend some revamping time utilizing my skills for programatic development.

I've been in my dream profession for 8 weeks.

I went to a specific university to specialize in my dream. I was able to combine two of my passions in life (technology and communication). I completed my masters degree in May and I started a job in September working for an amazing, supportive boss.

I am a speech-language pathologist (technically in the process of my clinical fellowship).

I can't imagine having a dream profession and not attempting to achieve it. My dad taught me to choose something to do every day that I love so that I never "work" a day in my life.

here's mine: architect, interior designer, and an author, all at once!!:woohoo:

I'm getting my career started early- I'm in 7th grade and i'm writing my first book:goodvibes

I love to working in what I got my field. I have Information Systems End -USer Support degree. I love be working in the computer field.

1. Computer Support

2. Computer Teacher

3. Teacher

Right Now I teach Pre-K and I love it.

Rich Playboy Ne'er Do well about town!:thumbsup2

Or a Monorail Driver

I voted teacher, but after sleeping on it have decided that I want to work with the penguins at Sea World. I want to be the one who gives them hugs when they're feeling lonely! :) I think this should be worth six figures with a four day work week, full benefits, and five weeks vacation. Forget the 401k. Already lost DH's.

I marked Other. My dream job is the one I currently have - I'm an author :thumbsup2
