What is your child's favorite resort and why?

Our daughter does not care. She goes where mom and dad go. As long as she gets to go to WDW, that is all that matters to her.

DS10 and DD8's favorite resort is the GF. Du and Emam, CMs at the front desk, always fuss over them. They love the waterfall pool with the zero entry. They like that it's not as crowded as other resort pools. Their favorite thing to do is play ping pong over near the quiet pool with their Paw Paw and father. We had quite the family tournament going on in Dec. :teeth:

They enjoy watching Wishes from the marina with all of the other families. We ooh and aah in unison! They love hopping on the ferry or the monorail for a quick trip to the MK.

My children have enjoyed every resort that we have stayed at in the past. I think all the Disney resorts are wonderful each in their own way.

DS2 said his favorite resort is, "Ickey's House." :flower:

Definitely the Beach Club. Mainly because of SAB but also the prime location. My daughter loves being able to walk to Epcot and the Boardwalk area.

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

DS is 15 and he says different resorts were favorites at different ages for him. When he was younger he liked Contemporary or WL because he thought he was a cowboy(LOL)and we did MK as our primary park. As he's grown older he's begun to like the Epcot resorts more. He loved BWI but says he wasn't all that impressed with YC and Stormalong Bay but don't take his word for it...he does not care for water slides or sand in his toes. :confused3 I however think the waterslide at YC/BC rocks and don't even get me started on the "lazy river" portion of that pool. :cool1:

He has stayed at POFQ and CBR. We stayed at CBR due to the fact that POFQ was being refurbished and the whole time he said CBR is nice but POFQ is his fave. When making plans for this years trip, we gave him a few options and he wants POFQ. Why? He likes the pool better and the 'atmosphere' better.

My kids all loved the Poly! They loved the volcano slide and the zero entry pool. They loved watching the fireworks from the beach and having the MK just a boat ride away!

yacht club / beach club

because of it's location and pool.

there is so much to do within walking distance

We have stayed at ASSp, POFQ and WL. My DD11 and DD6 love WL the best. They love the lobby and the way the hot spring starts in the lobby and leads into the pool. They love the WL pool. They love the boat ride to MK.

Both of my kids have loved different resorts for different reasons. They have been to ASmusic, POFQ, Swan, Dolphin, and AKL. DS has also been to POP and CBR.
Cast of characters' current ages:
DD 19
DS 11 almost 12
DD never thought the Swan would be out of her first place standing with its heavenly bed and plenty of mirrors. She inched it out with AKL's animals and ambience. She still declares Thabo the best club level CM (Swan and Dolphin)

DS loves AKL and feels like he knows it and the concierge lounge by heart. He will go anywhere through the lodge and feel safe, something he didn't feel at CBR with the distance factor and the bridge at night(and it gets dark early in January). (we're staying CS next so I am wondering how he will "feel" walking on his own there.)
Pop ranks up near the top with him for frozen cokes, game room, and store. Swan and Dolphin win out with the Grotto Pool, but he's listened to his mother too much and wishes the giraffes lived behind it!

My DD's (15, 10 & 10) love the GF (rooms, location, beauty) but they also love the POR (food court, Fultons store, beauty). We're hopefully going to try the BC in August and I'm sure they'll find things to love about that one as well!!

Well, my dd is only 2 1/2, but there are 3 resorts that stand out for her....BCV because she loves the little slide in Stormalong Bay, AKL for the animals, great playground, and zero entry pool, and CSR for the Dig Site.

I have never asked. She has enjoyed all of the resorts in which we have stayed. Usually I make the decision about the resorts, based on budget and my taste. After being talked into WL (didn't like the rooms, although the rest of the resort is gorgeous), I am happier that way. We all know when Mom's happy, everyone else will be happy, too.... and of course, that goes the other way as well!

ds ten and dd 18. Both gave the same answer.. beach clubs rooms they like better than The Boardwalk, ds likes that pool the best. dd like the outside atmosphere at Boardwalk better. second choice Both is AKL. Unless you throw in AKL club level than the scale is tipped and AKL is in first place.

Twin ds's 4 and a half. Both prefer AKL club or Savannah view. ( Both said they don't want to stay standard again. choice number 2 for both would be Boardwalk.

Should his opinion matter? Who goes to WDW for their kids? ;)
So far, DS's (6) favorite has been CSR because of the pool (more specifically the slide). We made the mistake of walking by the SAB with DS, and now he wants to stay there. Maybe next year, if AP rates are better then.

Well DS5 says Wilderness and DS16 says Animal Kingdom Lodge!

All Star Movies. She's loyal -- it was her first Disney Hotel ::MickeyMo . She lost her two front teeth there and "gave back" her marshmallow peeps at Easter (I know, TMI :crazy2: ). She's a pre-teen, 4 inches taller than me, and can't wait to get to her room with the popcorn light. Not even interested in upgrading to a moderate with a water slide. We've been to Coronado Springs, the Poly, and the Contemporary. "Home" is where the popcorn light is.
