What is your children's favorite resort?

My 10 year old DS absolutely loves The Poly. He has no desire to stay anywhere else so we don't dare mention another resort around him.

He loved the volcano pool, watching Wishes from our patio and playing on the beach. I don't think there was one thing about the resort that he didn't like.

My boys loved the Contemporary. My oldest calls it the monorail hotel. They loved being close to MK and the game room. The beach area and the hot tub were big hits. The colorful decor was also fun for them. They also liked the Swan and Dolphin, especially the pool and the giant statues.

My DD, age 12 liked OKW the best, but that was because it was our first trip where we stayed in a 2 bedroom, and she had her own room. Her second favorite resort is the Poly--she loved the Ceremonial House, the pool, the neverland club, and all the ways to get to MK.

I have fond memories of POFQ because that is where we first stayed onsite, and I remember how my DD (then age 6) loved the slide.

Since we have only went once, DS's {8} favorite resort is ASMo. LOL!!!

After one long day at the park, we all came back to the resort. DH and DS went to the pool while I gave DD a bath. They told me what time to come and get them to come back to the room. When it was time DD and I went to the pool to let them know it was time. DH gets out and tells me that DS is hiding with these other boys that he met who are from England. LOL!!!! I was thinking to myself here I am 32 years old and have never met anyone from a different country. DS is at the pool for an hour and has already met and made friends with these two boys. DD doesn't really care at this point about the resort and were we stay. No, take that back, the little princess princess: would like to stay in Cinderella Castle, but I don't think Disney would apperciate that. LOL!!!

For our trip next year we are trying to figure out if we want to get 2 connecting rooms at Pop or 1 room at POFQ or POR. HHHUUUUMMMMM!!!! :scratchin

CSR hands down. we went 4 times last year and only once did we not get a fla rate and ended up for 4 nights at POFQ- they were happy but disappointed. they love the dig site and everything else that goes along with it. we stayed at the swan prior to our cruise this year just to try it out and they wanted to know why we were not at the dig site. :confused3

I was just talking to my oldest DD about this in hopes she could help us decide where we should stay during our upcoming Dec 2005 trip. She was looking through a brochure & said she wanted to stay at the WL b/c it was the prettiest~ though she has never stayed there. :rotfl2:
I would think- based on what she has done at the resorts (she has stayed in Poly 2x, CR 1x, OKW 2x) she liked the CR best- she spent a lot of time in the arcade, She LOVED Chef Mickey's (we did too ;) & watching Wishes during dessert in the CA Grill, walking to MK (we were in the north wing), taking the monorail, rented a water sprite... it was too cold for the pool :(

Though, I have to tell you~ WL is high on our wishlist for December now ;)

We stayed at WL and CBR on our first trip to DW. My DD2 (at the time) did not like CBR. When we pulled up to WL in Feb (our next trip) she yelled "this is the one I like." :rotfl2:
I just hope she is not unhappy when we arrive at Pop in April!! Nothing more fun than a 3 year old throwing a tantrum ;)

Mine are DD 13 and DS 8. We haven't stayed at GF, but we walked through there and they both emphatically said "Mom, we want to stay here." The older one was charmed by the decor and my younger one liked it because it was close to MK.

I just asked my DSs, ages 5 & 8. They have stayed at ASSP, ASMO, POR, Swan, and Poly. They both listed off all but POR and said they liked them all the same and couldnt pick 1 favorite.

In fairness, I should add youngest DS only stayed at POR when he was 8 months old so he doesnt remember it, and my oldest stayed there at 15 months and 3 1/2. I know he does remember it a little, but Im sure he remembers all the others better.

My DS (10) loves AKL. He still talks about sitting on the balcony and watching the animals. I want to try YC on our next visit, but he wants to go back to AKL. Mabye we'll try a split stay.....

:earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsboy: :earsboy:

My children are older than yours at 14 and 15, but the Dolphin has been their favorite for several years now.

I think they like the larger hotel atmosphere and the boat rides over to Epcot and MGM. The Grotto Pool is a big plus too! The lifeguards there aren't as strict as the ones at the Disney resorts! (they were always getting yelled out to "walk" as opposed to running from the pool to the water slide)

We stayed at SOG when DD's were 4 & 6, WL @ 9 & 11 and last June (10 & 13) @ AKL and in Oct (11th Bday & 13) @ POP. When we decided to go back for Xmas holidays (mom's friend is CM and offered us his rate) we asked girls where did they want to stay, they chose to go back to POP. I tried to talk them into a possible split stay everyone said "NO, they did not want to waste time moving!" Oh well majority ruled, DH and his wallet included-lol.

Both of my kids DS11 and DD4 loved BC. They both ask when we are going back to stay there again.

Our little ones :teeth: (22 & 25) and our grandsons (1 & 3) love POR. Our son (22) has stayed at more of the resorts than us (Contemporary and Yacht Club) including those listed in our signature but prefers POR to all of them. The grounds are nice, the food is good and the pools are great!

We have stayed at OKW, BC, BW, CSR, Poly, ASSP, ASSM and AKL

All of my kids 18, 10, and two 4 year olds all prefer AKL first and foremost.

Then the two little ones like BW, then BC.

The two older kids like BW, and BC I think equally the same.

We are trying POFQ this trip, we will see how that goes!!

My DD is 6. So far we have only stayed at CSR and POFQ. We have a trip planned for the Fall, and we will be staying at Pop.

Her favorite is anything on-site. As long as she can go to the parks, she is happy as a clam!

But, I think she'll like Pop.
