I am curious what is your children's favorite resort? Please specify their ages.

My children who are 8 and 6 like POFQ a lot. I think it is due to the pool called Doubloon Lagoon. They love the slide and they thought the pool is so cute and lots of fun. They like the deco at the food court. It is very colorful and fun to look at.

They also like POP a lot too. I think it is due to the icons and it is very colorful. They love the tie dye cheese cake there. They like the pools there.

What does your children like about their favorite resort?

My little ones 5 and 2 love Pop and the All Stars because of all the big icons. thats just really cool to the little ones. My teenagers, Im afraid, have turned into snobs and they like the deluxe resorts and better yet like the concierge level, lol.

My kids, ages 14 and 11, love the Contemporary and have since they were 9 and 6! They love the monorail location, the fact the monorail runs through the hotel, the look of the rooms, proximity to MK, pool, Electrical Water Pageant, marina. My son (the 14 year old) has stayed with me at the Dolphin. It is close to being his fav due to the pool, proximity to World Showcase, Tubbi's buffeteria, and Fresh!

We have also stayed at AKL, POFQ, POR, BC, BW, and SOG.

DD4's favorite resort is usually the one we have most recently stayed at. Overall though, I think her favorite is AKL.

My kids are 4,5,& 9 & they love the CBR....they are big beach fans...I am hoping they will love the POR since we can't do CBR anymore (more than 4 people now)

my ds 8 loves loves loves the cr... he doesnt care what anyone says he loves that slide more than any other!

My DG's 10 & 8 like The BWI. They are really into the lobby of hotels. So when they see The Wilderness Lodge they should be impressed. :Pinkbounc

My boys (17 & 18) enjoy the All-Star Sports the best. We stayed at POFQ on a $79 rate last May and while me and hubby LOVED it, they were bored. The arcade was too small and there was hardly any other teenagers there. They spend hours at the Football field at Sports with all the other teenagers (especially the softball players), and even hooked up with some folks and went to Wide World of Sports to watch some baseball and softball.

My boys always got to choose the resort and always picked CR mostly for the big game room.

My DD's (4 and 4) love the cabins! The bunk beds are a huge draw and then when you add in a bus/boat ride it's a winner!

My kids love POP, mainly because they always find other kids to play with and the arcade.

The also love AKL when we go there to eat and want to stay there. We're suprising them in June with two nights Savannah view.

Mine, like us, favor the deluxes. So far we have stayed at the CR, Poly, WL, YC, GF and Swan. The girls tend to favor the MK resorts, younger one adored the GF, older one has requested a return trip to the WL because of the theming and the boat to MK. Both like the CR too, it was just booked solid for our June trip. They surprisingly didn't care for the Poly, although they love Ohana. Enjoyed the YC but wish it was on the monorail!

As much as DH and I love the Poly, if you were to ask our DD(7) she would tell you the WL because of the bunk beds.

I'm hoping one day she will "blossom" and turn into a monorail junkie like me! :flower:

Sounds a lot like my daughters. They are now 19 & 21, they tend to go with friends (they still stay at All-Stars. Back in '01 we stayed at POR. They hated it. All I heard was "mom, can't we got back to All-Stars" when asked why they said "thats where all the boys are". So back to All-Stars we went.

My youngest DD is 11 and she loves them all. But she does prefer All-Stars, they have her mickey waffle sundae. She likes Poly for the Volcano pool and WL for the hot tubs. We haven't stayed a moderate since '01. Its either Deluxe or Value.

Mine (DD 6,9 princess: princess: ) tend to liike whatever they stayed at last time.

Each new resort, is their new favorite. First it was CSR, and then CR, then CBR, and now they think they will like Pop the best (staying there in 2 weeks :teeth: ). At first they were being quite picky,(no slide) and the word value upset my 9 y.o. but as she has looked around the internet, at different pictures, she actually got upset, when I said we might change to moderate. Fine w/ me, since our only discount is AAA, I'll save the $$, and hope for the best.

The only thing they have never wavered on is that they want to be onsite. We had considered doing :earseek: a universal vacation :earseek: this time around, and both just about freaked out.

Our soon-to-be-5 DD has loved every one we've stayed at (and our almost-2-year-old DS can't tell us yet). Mostly because we have a very strict "no jumping on the beds" rule at home that gets waived whenever we are at a hotel. She'll spy a hotel here in town and BEG to spend the night there instead of at home, so I guess that rule has backfired on us a bit. DD also adores Krysta (on Resort TV) so as long as there's a TV and a bed, she's in hog heaven!

Funny comments she's made about past resorts:
On entering our new room at POR after a stay at VWL, "Where's the refrigerator?" (spoiled much?)
After checking in and overhearing my remark to DH that I couldn't understand why many people on the DIS disliked SSR: "Well, it's not made out of candy." (So I guess if WDW had a resort made out of candy, that would answer the OP's question!)

We'll be staying at POP for our Mommy-and-me birthday trip because I have a feeling she will love it. Not having a slide is actually a perk for us, because she's not a strong enough swimmer to use it but would want to anyway. I think she'll LOVE the pop jets and the colorful icons. I just hope that she doesn't complain about not staying at POP the next time we stay at a DVC resort using our points!

DS13 asked that we return to the Wilderness Lodge this Aug before we go to BCV
so we have VWL booked 6nights, WL booked 2nights and BCV booked 6nights

just asked him what he likes best about the Lodge and he said "everything!"

My DD, now 6, loves the Poly the best. She has stayed at the WL, CBR, and the Poly. She doesn't want to stay anywhere else but the Poly. She loves the volcano pool, the huge beach, the flowers blooming, the waterfall in the lobby, and her own pina coladas from her favorite pool bar!

Our three teen ds 17,15 and 13 like the Polynesian and Swan is a close 2nd. They like the Polynesian for the volcano pool, pool games, (basketball) , arcade challenge, captain cooks, mouseboats, proximity to fishing trip, great views of fireworks and ewp and beach and being able to monorail over the the contemporary game room. At the swan they like the epcot area and entertainment, walking to tubbis for snacks and mostly the grotto pool and the beach volleyball and basketball etc. I think my ds would love the all star sports but we are big people and double beds just dont cut it, poor ds is 6'2 and still growing etc.

So far, DS4 favorite resort is AKL. He just loves having the animals outside his window and everywhere he goes throughout the resort. But we're busy trying to try them all, so we'll see if that sticks.
