Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anybody wanted to post their best, worst, or funniest stories that happened to them in Dinseyland.

I'd probably have to say last year when I took my son to DLR for the first time. He was 3 at the time. I posted about this in my trip report last year...but I'll post it again here since it's probably my favorite memory.
A little history...I divorced my sons dad when he was 2. I had been a stay at home mom since my son was born. When I left my ex I started out without a dime to my name. I moved in with my parents until I got a great job. Still LOVE my job! Anyway....I worked my hiney off to take my son to DLR. We both needed it after the year we had previously. Soooooooo I take him to DLR for 5 days! Our very last night we're watching the fireworks and I get a little teary eyed. Just seeing my sons face lit up after each burst in the sky was just priceless. He had such a great week...as did I. I always loved Disneyland as a kid, but taking my own son...there's nothing better! I was happy but sad at the same time because I knew our fun full week away from the chaos of home was coming to an end. At the end of the fireworks my son put his hands on my face and said "thank you mommy for taking me to Disneyland". That about did it for me. My boyfriend snapped a picture right at the same time so although it's a horrible picture of tired teary eyed me...it's still a very special picture to me that captured one of my favorite memories of Disneyland. It was just such a special moment that despite everything we had went through to get to DLR.....I wouldn't change a thing. :::Sniff:::: ok need a tissue now.

I'd love to share a 30 second video but I don't know how...anyone to help me learn how?
What a wonderful story!Your son is very lucky to have you for a mommy.
One of my favorite stories happened during the 50th anniversary. It was the first time my husband and kids had ever been and about 10 years for me. The whole trip was so much fun and amazing.
...the band leader walked right up to my son and handed him his "wand" (what the heck are they called??????) and motioned for him to conduct the band. So, my son got to conduct the band through three or four songs and he still talks about it three years later.![]()

I think the word you were looking for was "baton".That is probably a story that your son will be telling his kids someday.

One morning when we entered the park, we were trying to get pictures in front of the Mickey Flowers at the entrance. There was no one around and I was able to get a couple of shots and all of the sudden, the band comes around the corner. Honestly, I was a little disappointed as I wanted to try to get some more pictures and I just knew it was going to gt packed. Oh how fun!!! What a great memory!
I'll share another one really quick....same trip, last day there. My kids wanted one of those cute Mickey ear balloons. They hadn't even looked at them until the last day, of course. I didn't really want to "waste" the money on them since we were leaving that afternoon, but I relented and let them each get one. As we were walking out of the park ::::sniff, sniff:::: all three of them stopped and asked if they could give their balloons to another child who was in the park. Awwwwww.....I just thought it was so sweet of them to think of that. I had specifically told them that we couldn't take them home on the plane and they were so upset. However, when they found another little one to give them to they were so excited to share the magic.
