What is your absolute dream vacation?

Mine is having about a month off to visit Australia and New Zealand. I would love to visit the cultural parts of Oz, and visit all the tremendous wilderness and outdoor adventures that I have read about in New Zealand.

I would also scuba dive the barrier reef. Eat all of the stuff that local eat.

The month vacation I could get if I take all my vacation time at once..... does anybody have a spare 20K, so I don't have to travel on a budget?

Something I think would be fun would be what I call a "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" vacation in that it would utilize as many different modes of transportation as possible, including all the "usual" stuff plus backpacking, cycling, horseback riding and various "creative" ways to "get from here to there," etc., etc.. I think that'd be . It would be fun to plan, even if I could never actually do it.

Wow...I'd say about 3 months of travel...
First of course, I'd fly to Australia..spend a couple weeks there, then I'd go to San Fran for about a week, then take a cruise to Hawaii and Alaska.
I'd also like to take a month or more to RV around the US

I've always wanted to visit Australia and Hawaii

My absolute dream vacation would be an entire month of travel....I would start off with a big city tour.... maybe New York City, San Fran, Seattle, or maybe Washington....do the theater, museums, all the sites and of course shop....then a day or two in the mountains, then a week long cruise to some exotic beach....and then of course at least a week at the happiest place on earth....Disney. I would stay at the Poly the first half of the trip and transfer to another wonderful resort for the duration. I would enjoy the parks, but also take advantage of the resorts and the spas......Oh too dream

Well, I'm not sure if it's my dream vacation but I'd like to go to Iceland.

It's hard to pinpoint a dream vacation because there are a lot of places I would like to go. An Alaskan cruise would be right up there. But I wouldn't be content with going one place, because when I got back, I'd want to go somewhere else anyway.

To be able to take DDs to see things I have never seen, and experience them at the same time.

First and foremost, I'd love to spend a week or two in the UK. I want to see the old castles, visit old battle sites, see London, visit places of rock and roll history (relating to Beatles and Stones), see the white cliffs of Dover, etc.

And since we're talking dream vacation, and I'm already on that continent, I'd like to head over to tour Italy. Rome, Venice...ahh.

But if I couldn't make it to Italy, UK would be enough for me. That's one of those times I'd have to force myself on a plane (I've developed a bit of a phobia), but it would be so worth it. Someday...

A dream of mine is to learn SCUBA and visit the Maldives in the Indian Ocean. Stay in an overwater bungalow on the most beatiful beaches in the world. Ahhhhh....

I was also going to say an overwater bungelow on an exotic tropical island - preferably very private. Even if I was given a bunch of money to travel I would probably never do this trip because it seems like too much - I'd probably choose to go more places on more of a budget. That is why this seems like a dream, I guess, because I can't really imagine myself ever doing it.

#1 To go on a Family Vacation to Vietnam, bringing all 4 kids and even my MIL so she can show my US , in particular my DH, where she grew up and all the other special things about Vietnam and come home 1 child heavy, a little girl!

#2 Egypt - but no time soon with the war going on!!

Well, in the US, about a month to see all the National Parks out west...my Dh's dream too...or
2 weeks in Hawaii...or
New England with a trip to NYC and Broadway squeezed in...

Out of country...the UK...my DH's other dream vacation and the land of all my forefathers...I'm Welsh, Irish, Scottish and English!

and we'd take the kids to all of them but Hawaii...i need to enjoy the beach in peace!
