me: we don't have to join we can talk if you want

me: report me all you like for talking bc i just report you

None of this sort of thing surprises me when you have so many kids on vmk. It is all very reminiscent of real life junior high or high school to me. Now before everyone gets upset I'm not suggesting that everyone this age is that immature and I don't want to get into the whole "there are adults just as immature as kids" discussion.

For instance, I was seeking out some trades yesterday and going into some of the trade rooms. In several I was completely ostracized or ignored for not being a part of some "clique". In one room, each time I asked if anyone had specific items, people kept saying "lol" to each other like it was some kind of inside joke but no one would answer me. Okay, it's a trade room but nobody is there to trade or even acknowledge your presence because you aren't in their clique. Again, very high schoolish to me. I just leave and hope to find someone of any age nearby with a bit of maturity and ability to act above that nonsense.

You realize you take up Room Spots while standing there, right? The more people in one room, causes VMK to create an alternate POTC lobby, people off to play games. If the majority of folks are just talking, then new people can't get into that room to join the games. Instead they'd be in an alternate POTC lobby creating a game there.

So... he was in the right.

I don't remember him saying what lobby he was in. I do not feel there is anything wrong with chatting in any of the lobbies.

Last week we were helping a friend get to the top of the high games list in Haunted Mansion. She spent most of the day playing the game. We were taking a break, dancing on the steps and chatting. Some kids came in and were upset because we would not join their game. They asked us why we never played the game. We just laughed because at that point our friend was on the top of the daily list for games won-with 27 games.

I do not know about you but sometimes after a few games of ghosts my left wrist starts to hurt, and I need to take a break for a few minutes before playing again.

The other kid could have just went to another lobby himself to find somebody to play with. So unless there is a quest going on and all the lobbies are full, there is nothing wrong with chatting in the lobbies.

I just took the other thread argument to pm (the one with the "sexual harassment"), but this theme is common:

VMK is turning into a Society of Frivolous Lawsuits in the form of such an easy report feature. The nicest people are reported by jerks who have a short fuse. The best example is what happened to our dear moderator, Mal.


Conclusion- Think long and hard before reporting someone: are they really doing something wrong?
