I've been asking them for over a month now what they want for Christmas. They have no idea. There is nothing they want. I try to give them ideas....nothing, nada, zilch.

Then we ask them where they want to go for February vacation (I'm still planning Disney, but wanted to know what they wanted). No idea, no clue, I don't care.

What is wrong with them????????

I can't plan my vacation and I can't shop....AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH

OK, thanks for letting me vent! :teeth:

My kids started asking for stuff back in the summer. They add new stuff to the list daily now!

It very frustrating. Their ages are 17, 14 and 12....boys. Its sooo hard!

I'm seriously thinking about anuual passes to Disney ;)

you definately have my sympathy but you're not giving me much hope for the future! My DS is 11 and has been doing this since he was 7. He has absolutely no idea what he wants! Ask him and he'll say toys or cool stuff. On the other hand one of my DD's, 5, wants everything she sees. Both girls started asking for stuff last summer!

Even my 2 year old niece has a list..............but everything on it is "Sleeping Beauty". LOL

You should! Really, you should ask them if they would rather take a trip than get "stuff" that they don't want or need! I think that's an awesome idea. Then you could just get them some little things. When I was a teen, cold hard cash was all I really wanted. LOL

I have two girls (both age 9) and have been going through this the past few years. I guess I should consider myself lucky that they don't want everything they see, but it makes shopping hard.

It's tough, I know. My guys are only 9 & 11( one month after christmas). Let's see - they'd like a laptop, an ATV or go-cart or dirt bike, a trip to Disney or anywhere else, playstation & Xbox (to suppliment their GameCube). They sure do get expensive. They are getting some "educational" knex (bridge building and pulleys & levers), spybots, maybe IQuest, boardgames, Lion King tickets - not good until June :earseek: the new pokemon firered/greenleaf...they asked for those. Don't know what else. It really doesn't seem like much. We don't buy them "things" throughout the year. So at least they do want for some things (not much though)

I have four kids and two stepkids ranging in age from 15 to 27. I got so frustrated trying to get everyone's Christmas list (in written form since there are too many to remember for) that last year I started a new rule: You must submit a written Christmas list before you can sit down to Thanksgiving dinner! It actually worked pretty well, and the kids were good sports about it.

My MIL said that she needs a Christmas list or she's going to make a donation to a needy child in her grandkid's names'.

My DD 15, has a list, my DS 16, can't think of anything he wants. I bet you can't guess who has a bunch of money in the bank and who is always broke.

Sounds like your children are normal to me. My DD does that every year in the hopes of getting us to buy more gifts.

TC.

My husband is the one that does this. He drives me crazy.
