We are coming over to WDW from UK in November. It's been booked since may 2013 and we are half way there! Just want summer to hurry up and then the count down is REALLY on!

We have been to disneyland Paris when our DS was 2 and he loved it so much! Really surprised us as he was far more in to it all then we could have possibly imagined.

Anyway, to get him geared up for WDW we have been watching lots of YouTube videos of rides, hotels etc. Yesterday morning, to keep him amused while I was busy getting ready for work, I put on a YouTube video of the wishes firework display. DS was so fascinated and nearly burst when he saw tinkerbell and then I get all emotional and gooey and start to cry! I can't help myself!! We have been to DLP 4 times and WDW once but every time I go there I weep like a baby! All that pent up happiness, anticipation and joy just bursts out of me and I end up so emotional!

This time we will be spending the first part of our holiday with MIL, she's going to think I am crazy when I see the castle and burst in to tears! LOL!

It's normal! Only true Disney lovers are moved by the magic! Enjoy your trip!

ITA....For me, it's seeing Main Steet with the Castle. I recall the first visit many, many years ago when DD was just a little thing and her reaction walking into the MK is indelibly etched on my brain.

side note: uccats97--:wave: "Hi" from across the river.

We have just returned from our 10th trip and I still cry at Wishes. I am normally close to tears on the last day when I walk out of MK too even though I normally have another trip booked so I know I will be going back.

I wish I liked Paris more as it would give me my Disney buzz for less money but it just doesn't make me emotional like WDW does!

I cried like a baby during "Saving Mr. Banks" during the scenes in the park. DH thought I was nuts!!

To see Tink fly right over your head, try to reserve a spot at the Wishes Dessert Party on the Tomorrowland Terrace. Then a great view of Wishes will follow. Not to mention all the yummy goodies you will get to snack on before the fireworks start. This reservation is popular, so if you want one, start trying as soon as the timeframe opens. Its now 180 days out here, but I believe I read somewhere those time frames are different for those from the UK.

Thanks for this! I have looked at the dessert party and it is definitely on my wish list, but I hadn't realised that tinkerbell would be flying overhead! In that case, I shall be booking that as soon as I can! It's only another 70 something days until I can make DDRs. That's the next milestone in this 18month wait!!

I don't think I will be booking as early next time! Haha!

I'm glad it's not just me that gets emotional! Every time DH and I see the castle we manage to just about get the words "we're home" out!!

I'm the same way! So excited for our October trip! We watch a You Tube video or a ride or attraction after lunch almost every day!

They should have CMs walking around Wishes with tissues IMO lol My friends & family have commented on the smile on my face in MK pp shots n I tell them "You gotta be there to understand! It truly is magical!" ;)

I was an absolute wreck after leaving MK for the last time at the end of my disney college program. After working in MK for seven months it truly became home. Can't wait to go back again.

:) Mr. Banks got to me too. When those gates opened and I saw Walt standing there....I said "Wow!!" out loud and then Paul Giamatti said the same thing...it was awesome. Illuminations was always special to my FIL, DH still can't watch it so my MIL and I go together if we can. I listen to the AK park music on the drive to work and it instantly relaxes me...

You're certainly not alone!
My husband caught me on camera with tears in my eyes when I was saying goodbye on our last day...:sad:
