Hi Everyone,

I might be a bit out of the loop, so please excuse me, but I keep reading about the Pearls in Epcot. Can someone tell me what it is and how do get them etc.

Thanks! :thumbsup2

Coronado Springs here we come (again!) April 2006

The dept. store in the Japan pavilion has a "chose an oyster" area where they open it and you can have the pearl set into jewelry. You can also just keep the pearl.
Maybe someone knows the prices?

My DD(6) just did this last week and got a twin oyster with 2 matching pearls in it that we had mounted in to earrings... total cost is about $14.00 for the oyster and then a range of about $8 to $200 to have them set in the jewelery that you want. It take about 15 minute for the mounting to be ready. It was definitely the highlight of her trip!!!

Up the road at SW they have live divers go into a big tank let you point out a oyster and they bring that one up to you to take inside and get opened.

It is so fun! I have been wanting to do this for years but never got around to it. This past trip we did it and my DH and DS got one for me. I then wanted to get one myself- so I picked out another one. Got a beautiful grey/silver colored one. Everyone else in our party (girls) saw how fun it was and we all got matching rings. It is just a fun thing to do. Not sure what they are worth or anything like that.

Now I plan to get one every trip and put the pearl in a special love box for a collection.
:thumbsup2

I also remember a pearl stand at AK in Asia and across from the Beach/Yacht Clubs on Crescent Lake. Does anyone know if they are still there?
