We just returned from Disney - AKL to be exact. At first I thought it was just the Mara food court but when we visited French Quarter's food court it was the same thing. What in the world did they do??? There is no order, no reasoning in the food court. Whatever happened to standing in line, ordering what you want (all of what you want), having the same selection available at every "station". On many occassions I had to go to this line, cross over to the next, while my husband was in a third area. You could not tell who was in what line. It was crazy (and very disappointing)!!!!! :(

It seems to be the trend. At POFQ it used to be that you ordered the food, paid and then got it. Then you could go sit down and yur food was still hot. But now both POR &POFQ are set up the same way. You go to the different windows and then stand on line to pay. The last time we stayed at POR, most mornings it was crowded, and by the time I got all the food and paid, it was getting cold.

CBR was no better. Although you food was hot, yu had to go to different stations to get different things.

But I do like the selections at the food courts. We have two little DDs and it's the easiest option, espcially in the morning. The 24 hour places at the Deluxes are ok- but the selection is not as large as the food courts.

It is interesting to read your comments. We didn't care for the old POFQ food court and much preferred the one at Riverside. We travel with a party of five people...two in late 60's and early 70's...two in early 40's and one that is 3 years old. This concept works great for us since not a one like the same thing. We all go our way and then meet at the register or the table. We like the selection and variety at Riverside (haven't seen new on at FQ yet - 40 days and counting). But these food courts are the one of the main reasons we stay at a moderate. It works just perfect for our familiy. And, we are fortunate in that our food has remained hot while we paid for it. Nothing worse than cold food. But, I could understand why it wouldn't work for some.
