And it's like a mini Disney World trip for me every time I enter.
I agree! I also find it a fun way to hang out and meet new people.

If someone said to me that this was just a virtual game, etc., after treating me unfairly, I would have no problem in deleting them, however.
Yep just like Rob said, if its just a game to him, then it wouldn't bother him to much by us deleting and thats exactly what we did. We don't need heartless ppl like that on our friend list.
I need to modify the first question a bit. "What did VMK USED to be to you?"
It used to be a fun place to hang out with very nice people, to have some of that Disney magic. To be excited by new items and new quests and new people. To have ppl ask questions and be nice when you helped them. To chat with others who had similar interests about everyday stuff.
Now, it's a whole other story. It's become mean and nasty. I was berated again last night by some little punk. I cannot talk to my friends on VMK, past the basic "How are you?" to which they can only reply "Fine thanks" even if their best friend just died, for fear that it will be construed as personal information.
I'm sick and tired of all the drama that's unfolded lately. I'm tired of kids being mean to me. I won't let my daughter on any more at all because I'm tired of her crying.
The nails in the coffin are almost complete.
), play some games, and like someone else mentioned, get my shopping fix
Now, however, it's almost more stress than it's worth. Hopefully, VMK will make a miraculous turnaround sometime soon in the future. Here's hoping.

I sadly must agree. Even in the little more than a year that I have been on VMK, I've watched it change and not for the better. When I first joined, I had that childlike idealism that this would be just like the days of my youth, when we used to travel to WDW every year. Slowly, though, that is no longer the case. While I treasure the friends I have made this past year, it's difficult to watch what VMK is becoming sometimes. Like Dara, I have found it increasingly difficult to talk to people on VMK, for fear that anything I say may be construed as personal information. Friends I made in the beginning now care more about their rare items and credits than about our friendships, and some have even deleted me after I refused to trade with them.
I'm tired of the scams, the blatant insults, the obsession with taken (I'm just saying the whole game does not have to be about whether you have a guy or not), and the crackdown on any personal info being shared. VMK disappointed me this month with the absence of HOST pins and the, excuse me, pathetic quests. It's almost too frustrating.
Like Dara, I find myself nearing the end of my rope at times. VMK was a place where I could relax, talk to friends (no matter the age differences), play some games, and like someone else mentioned, get my shopping fix

When I first joined VMK in November of 2006, it was a much friendly, happier place
There weren't as many scams, as much taken, baybe, etc
It was a wonderful place, and I enjoyed trying to get rare items, playing games, and just exploring the Kingdom
Along the way I have met many awesome friends there and on the DIS
I still play VMK, but to me, it's not as fun as it used to be. Most of the fun now comes from being around and talking ( as best we can
) with my friends, and seeing each others rooms.
I learned how to build rooms and was so proud of them. And yes the worst player in VMK in pirates learn to play and win some games
omg... i HATE HABBO HOTEL!!!! SICKO PPL IN THAT GAME..!! vmk is wayyyyyyyy more awesome..who cares about their dictionary?
