If you truly want a response about an infraction, you should send an email to admin@wdwinfo.com . The notification you already received should have given an explanation why an infraction was issued and when the points will expire so you might just re-read that message as your question may be answered already.

Doc, with all due respect, even you have to admit that things are way off here on the DIS since the big redirect of 2008.

I've sent emails to the admin email account at least a hald dozen times and have never gotten a response, not even acknowledgement that they (whomever they are) got it.

The point here though is that an honest suggestion has been offered regarding getting an answer - if that's really what is wanted - and the suggestion has been ignored. I have personally reviewed the profile - and the information is definitely there. It is also explained in the Guidelines - so, unless there is some other agenda regarding this thread, why not follow the suggestions already offered and see if a response is forthcoming?

I think it's at least worth a try.

Don't ask me how I know these things , but have you looked in your personal User CP (which you can do by clicking on "User CP" on the left side of this screen). There should be a box in your User CP that has the title "Latest Infractions Received". Everything one has ever wanted to know about one's Infractions (when they expire, how many points, which board assessed it, etc) will be laid-out in that box.

I'm sorry to say that I really do not like your tone in the bolded section and it comes off reading as a major personal attack. You are implying that I don't want an answer and that implication is incorrect. If I didn't want an answer, would I have stated several times that I'd like to know? As I stated earlier, I sent an email to the address you provided a week ago. Why would I badger someone with another email? If there's no response to the first one, what would lead me to believe there would be a response to any others? The ball is in the other court and I shouldn't have to serve another one. From what I've read on the boards, I'm not the only one to go w/o a response from the email address provided.

Thank you for the link ... would've been nice to have that in the original email that was sent. I wouldn't even know where to begin to look for the guidelines as I just click right into this place or hop on over to the Theme Park Strategy boards. I clicked onto my User CP file and cannot locate any expirations. Sorry -- seems I am not as computer savvy as you are. However, it should've been made clear in the PM that was originally sent to me when the expiration was. In any other point PM's I've scored, it lists date of expiration. Why not in this one (as posted earlier)?

On 5-4-08 at 2:26pm your received a 40 point Major Personal Attack infraction. It expires on 6-03-08 at 2:26pm (this is exactly 30 days later as described in the site guidelines in the link I already provided). It was issued by The DIS Moderator Team.

In reviewing the post, I agree with the infraction - as it was an attack on another poster.

With a 40 point infraction, signatures and PM function are lost during the infraction. Unless more points are earned in the meantime, the infraction will expire on 6/3/08.

One very good reason to send another email in this specific situation is because it was suggested multiple times in this very thread as the way to get a response right away if that was the actual intent of the thread. It was an honest suggestion - sorry it wasn't accepted in that spirit.

So, there you have it - and there is no need to send an email to admin any longer since you already have your response.
