What is this Disney Reward Programs?

OK, I doubt anyone will answer such a silly question, but I just stumbled onto this board. (I'm usually at Resorts, and Theme Parks). But what is this rewards thing? Can I sign up? Where? What do I get for it? Disney stuff? What are the catches?? Or maybe someone can refer me to a FAQ's post on this?
