What is the "white teeth" trick?

My friend who is a dental hygenist and works in a practice where they do whitening in the office has told me that Crest Advanced white strips work just as well as in in office whitening.

I have used those as well... problem is that they are a PITB to use, IMO... and I'm always forgetting to use them. I end up throwing half of them away as I can't seem to get them on properly, especially on the bottom teeth.

A flight attendant on one of my flights had incredibly white teeth. The couple behind me complimented him on it and asked if he had them whitened. He said that all he does is rinse his mouth with peroxide. Maybe that is the secret.

You mean Hydrogen Peroxide? If that safe?

I use white out. It works for corrections on documents, as well as teeth whitening.

I wonder how it works on non-stained yellowish teeth. Mine can't be stained, I don't smoke, don't drink coffee, don't drink huge amounts of tea, don't drink huge amounts of cola ... they just seem to be yellowing as I get older. I'd love to have them whitened because they are starting to bug me but I might have to try the Crest White Strips and stick with it!

I noticed my teeth were yellowing a bit so I switched to the Arm & Hammer toothpaste with peroxide and my teeth really are a lot whiter after about a month.

I can't use the white strips because they actually hurt my teeth after a few days.

I am thinking of trying the crest white strips.:)

They have worked great for me. And the "Advanced" white strips do stay on and are easy to apply. They are worth the extra cost, especially if you have a coupon (usually they are for $7 or $10 off!). Try those if you haven't, Papa Deuce. They don't slip around like the older versions.

Have to agree with KristaTX about the newer white strips, they are a whole lot better. They have a lot more grip. I just need to use mine more often.

I can't stand the taste of peroxide. Blech! Too bad I'm not one who can't taste it.

My dentist told me that brushing daily with baking soda is too abrasive for your teeth. Having them cleaned with it twice a year is safe, but every day will wear the enamel off your teeth.

I have used the Crest strips, the Advanced are the best. I wear them for about an hour, then do another treatment back to back. I notice whiter teeth in about 4 or 5 days. It really works!

Has anyone used the service that is sometimes at Sam's or at a mall Kiosk? They use the ultraviolet light method, I wondered if that worked.

I've wondered about the mall service too, but they sort of freak me out being right out in the middle of the mall.

They have teeth whitening on cruise ships and I have heard it doesn't work at all so I don't think one in the mall would work. I just wouldn't trust it in the first place.

Makes me think of the friends episode where Ross gets his teeth whitened and they look ridiculous.
