what is the weather like in september please

i would like to know the weather in early september i know it is the hurracane season how does that effect it is it usually about luck to what you get thanks

We just returned from WDW last night, the weather during our stay is typical of Florida. Temps during the day are mid 90's to the lows in the 70's. We had the 3-4 o'clock storm just about every afternoon, lasting about 30 to 60 minutes. Clears the pool, lightning, and then the sun comes back out and temps soar, thank God for AC. We usually left the parks around 1 pm, just too too hot and the crowds, what little we saw of them, seemed to arrive around 11am. Back to our resort till around 6 pm and out to the parks again. Humidity was a bear but its better than July and August.

Wicked humid. Just got back yesterday also. Thunder and lightening every day for a short while. A little rain here and there. Keeps you on your toes! The best part is the longest line we waited in was only about 15 minutes (although we kinda wished it was longer so we could stay in the AC)!

Think summer. Hot, humid and a chance of late afternoon/evening thunderstorms on any given day. You'll appreciate your resort pool!

Never been to Africa, but I get the idea. Yes it is hot & humid...... and sometimes windy if a hurricane jhappens to hit....

just returned also last night one thing to remember is don't pre-buy the mnnshp tickets if you wish to go, we did and it downpoured and dangerous lightening and NO refund there was no parade and we stayed 20 minutes and left, and their limited tickets well there had to be a bout 20,000 people there i will never pre buy again total waste of money

just returned 9/18, IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT. It rained one day for about 2 hours, but that was about it for rain. To be honest, I would rather it rain than be scorched, I am from Pittsburgh, we have humidity too but when your in the middle of the park with all those people, it just seems a bit worse. Be prepared for hot/humid weather. We go to Cancun each June, Cancun is NOT THAT HOT, compared to Disney in September, but free dining was nice.

I've never been before in Sept. and I just booked a room for Sept. 2008.

I've heard you need to pack plenty of dollar store ponchos, sunscreen and anything you need to keep you cool since it's extremely hot and humid.

We were there Sept 8th-15th and it was OMG Hot and humid!!
It was like vacationing on the sun

Just returned last Wednesday. We have now officially deleted September as a month to visit WDW. Now I know why Disney advertises "free" food and room upgrades in September. No Thanks.

Ditto!!! We will never go back in September again. Just returned from our 9/14 - 9/22 trip and the heat was sweltering and the crowds were terrible. My husband said he would happily take the $1300 we saved for this free dining trip and put it towards a cooler less crowded time of year.

I brought plenty of ponchos with me on our trip this September and didn't even use one of them. Honestly, the rain felt great, even when it was pouring!
