What is the sunrise safari?

In some reviews about dining some people mentioned they ate at this place after the sunshine safari. What exactly is this and how much is it?

oops, didn't notice I never mentioned that.

Depending how many in your party, OP, it may be worth looking at the Wild Africa Trek. It's not cheap, but if you aren't planning a CL stay at AKL already, WAT may not be such bad value. I only knew about the sunrise safari because I've been looking for more info on the WAT. I had otherwise never heard of it.

We did it in 2012 and had a great time. But I am not sure it's worth the extra $100+/day staying at AKL just to do it. We had a ton of reward dollars which took the sting out of the price. I think we spent close to an hour on the Safari. Maybe 10-15 minutes with the lions which were all out.
