What is the one thing you cannot/will not give up?

I am a faithful Atkins follower (was before and now I am back) but the one thing I must have is my mom's baked ziti. I don't have it all the time (only at family functions or a birthday dinner when she does make it) and I don't overdo it but I refuse to deprive myself of that.

Anyone else have anything they cannot live without :p
 
I have to have cereal! Sounds silly, but I just love cereal....
Nothing particular...I go through phases liking certain kinds...but I need it! LOL!!!
Growing up I always had a bowl of cereal every day when I got home from school...yes before dinner! LOL! But we didn't eat dinner until after 6, so it didn't spoil my appetite!
Still to this day, I LOVE cereal!

I don't think I've found it yet. Don't get me wrong, there have been a TON of things I thought I couldn't live without, but I did. Seriously, I have not given in to my temptations (came very close) since I started Atkins.

Oreo's and my DD's Easter Basket (without DD around) about got me yesterday!!! A friend of mine said that he could just see it now, me sitting on her bed when she got home from school, surrounded by empty candy wrappers and with chocolate all over my face :o
 
I can't think of anything. Coffee? Nah! I can quit any time!:rolleyes: Wine? Nope. I wouldn't like it, but I could do it.
It would have to be chocolate. But, I am very picky about the kind of chocolate I eat, so I don't feel the constant craving for anything chocolate. I feel pretty good about this, all in all.

Kamy!! I'm with you!! I love cereal - it's my biggest weakness! LOL!

I've starting eating the Keto Chocolate Crisp cereal - and I love it! It's low carb, and has lots of protein, and tastes just like Cocoa Crispies! I eat it with 1/2 & 1/2 on it instead of milk for breakfast.
 
I haven't had to give anything up, fortunately. But if there was a big news report about all the tortilla chips and salsa in the world disappearing, I'd be crushed! :(
 
POPCORN!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely REFUSE to go to the movies and not have popcorn. It just can't be done. Period. I'd be so antsy I'd have no idea what the movie was about!

I also used to have a bag of microwave popcorn (the light kind-5 pts./bag), almost every night. Then, I got it down to only 1-2 times a week.

And popcorn at WDW while watching the parades! YUM!!

Luckily, on WW I CAN have my popcorn!

But, since Monday, April 21st, I've been kinda doing this Atkins thing, so no popcorn for me! My son wanted to go to the movies last weekend and I told him we had to wait until Monday, May 5th, at the earliest, so I could have my popcorn!! heehee

I can live without it but I won't give up coffee.

I don't want anything not on the Atkins plan so I'm sort of lucky that way. No pasta based comfort foods :)
 
Coca cola classic. Since I can't seem to give it up and the doctor won't let me have diet coke. I am learning to limit it. So far this week - only one a day.
 
Since I am only 3 weeks into Atkins now, I don't miss anything or can't live without anything yet...but I am sure something will come creeping up soon enough!! LOL

I did have a huge addiction to bread at first, but found it isn't something I can't live without anyway...which was amazing to me!! :)
 
I didn't have anyhting I couldn't live without until I stopped at the grocery store and bought a cookbook of breakfast and brunch ideas. What a mistake!!! Now all I can think about is this lucious looking Strawbeery Cream Bruch Cake on the cover---

Why, oh why, do I torture myself so????
 
Oh wait, I stand corrected!! I do miss something...I miss my Bailey's!!! :p:p
 
I was just thinking about this today ... so far, I just cannot give up Dr. Pepper. I despise diet pop, so the diet version just isn't an option.
 
A Miller Lite (sometimes a glass of wine) after work. I have given it up for lent but I would hate to give it up permanently. Kind of makes me sound like a lush face:eek:

I'm with you, CDooBee! POPCORN!!!!
I'd really struggle if I had to give up all bread, potatoes, & pasta, but popcorn is the one thing I really can't give up. I did buy an air popper, though, & I'm using a fat free , no carb cooking spray on it instead of eating a whole bag of microwave popcorn at a sitting! :teeth:
 
I miss pizza, and I miss garlic bread, but it is not something that has killed me and I have been on this diet off and on for two years, and will be a life long thing. I do not have a huge sweet tooth, but bread was a horrible addicition. When I first started Atkins I would dream of bread and butter, garlic bread, and tuna sandwiches...lol. I have not had a peice of bread in over 3 months, and before that it was infrequent.

I will not deprive myself on special occassions or vacations, but I will try to keep things in check :)
 
I just won't give up pizza! I thought giving up Pepsi would be hard, but it has been 3 weeks and I don't miss it. (this falls under TMI, but I'm not half as gassy as I was when I drank Pepsi all the time) Now when I eat pizza I take 1 slice and cut in in two than I still feel like I'm eating 2 slices.
 
I'm just finishing my second week on Atkins. I admit I haven't been completely faithful to Induction- 3 cups of lettuce just don't do it for me. I have to have my heart of romaine with Marie's Blue Cheese dressing. I haven't given up my coffee- although I enjoy just 1 cup every morning. I found I really enjoy the great Kona coffee I brought back from Hawaii black. I never used sugar and don't miss the milk I used to put in it.
But I do miss <b>BREAD</b>, although I haven't eaten even a crumb for the last 2 weeks.
