What's the name of the new Mexican restaurant and when will they start taking ressies?

it's still "Fall 2010" with no announcement about when they will open or start taking reservations. Usually as soon as they announce an opening date, they will announce when reservations will begin...butthey may do only walk-ups for awhile like they're doing with Via Napoli in Italy. That one just opened last week, and they started taking reservations last Friday, but only for after September 10. For the first month it's all walk-ups.

The current rumor (and I stress that it's only rumor!) is looking for an official opening around 16 Sept. This is due to a planned internal party there to coincide with a certain Mexican holiday (I don't know which one, so I don't want to guess).

Beyond that, the Disney people have said that they plan to have it opened before F&W which starts 1 Oct, so that 16 Sept date fits. Of course, it's all rumor and guesswork at this point.

As posted above, once the official opening date(s) have been set, then we're likely to hear about reservations at that time.

Is this going to be in addition to San Angel Inn that is already there?

Yes, San Angel Inn, the current restaurant in the pavilion will remain open and La Hacienda (del Lago) is an additional eating venue. La Hacienda will only be open for dinner. That suggests to me that they are trying to make it a $$$ dining experience like Bistro de Paris in France.

I want to hear all about this after opening....I love Mexican food and think I want this to be my birthday celebration dinner!

Me too!!!

I'll be in the world for my birthday in October and was discussing the same thing with my wife yesterday.
