I'm getting married this coming August, and FH and I are taking a Disney Cruise for our honeymoon (I'm so excited!). Due to some fortuitous circumstances, we will also have one-day park hopper passes for WDW and can spend ONE day in the parks before we leave on our cruise. So here's a great question...where should we eat?! This will be our first meal on our honeymoon (not counting the inevitable quick counter service lunch we'll have) and we really want to make it special. I'm thinking we can't go wrong with Cindy's, but will it be crawling with kids for dinner?

In other words...in your opinion, what is the most romantic restuarant in WDW? Where should our ONE dinner in Disney be?

Money isn't an object - Victoria & Albert's

Money is an object - California Grill or Jiko

Congratulations! :goodvibes

What cuisine would you guys like? There are lots of places with fabulous atmosphere, but if you have a specific favorite meal in mind, it can be narrowed down.

Though I think V&A hands down...

I think a later evening dinner at Narcoosee's is incredible. The view of Wishes is awesome. The setting is very romantic.

Victoria and Albert's!!!

Unless it will cost too much; then I would recommend Jiko.

Have you looked into private dining at Grand Floridian? I havn't done it yet but you can have your own private meal with a butler at a table outside or on a boat and time it to watch the fireworks.

this tells a little bit but somewhere on these forums there are some reviews

1. Victoria & Alberts, but more $$$$ than the rest
2. Narcoosees
3. Jiko
4. California Grill

Except for V&A, most restaurants will have kids in varying numbers. The Castle will be full of them, plus you can't get a drink there.
I guess I need to know exactly what you mean by "romantic" before I can recommend any place other than V&A.

I'd vote for Citricos.

I enjoy CA Grill too, though I find it a little less romantic due to the noise.

Bistro de Paris in Epcot was very romantic when we ate there a couple of weeks ago. There were no children there, I didn't see any high chairs and they don't seem to have a children's menu, so I'm not even sure they accept them.

We haven't eaten at Victoria and Alberts as it doesn't really appeal to us. We've been to California Grill, the Flying Fish, and Narcooses, but they were very, very noisy. We thought Shula's was very "masculine" and not romantic, in fact my husband said that if he ever had to entertain clients while at Disney for a convention he'd take them there, it was perfect for that.

We really liked Citrico's and have eaten there a couple of times, that might be my second choice. The food there was outstanding, but there were some kids.

We have friends who got married at Disney and one night on their honeymoon they had a five course meal served to them onboard a yacht by a butler, and then they watched the fireworks from the boat. It sounds very romantic, but probably very expensive.

Kids are allowed in Bistro de Paris. I just don't think a lot of families choose there, for decor and cuisine.

It's funny to hear that Cali Grill is unromantic to some because of "the noise". I agree it lacks a certain something in that department, but I like a little bustle in my restaurants. Makes me feel like I am at a "happening place". Sometimes when they are too quiet, it feels too sleepy. Cali Grill was "bustling" to me, but still had a warmth and softness (in materials and colors) that made it feel special and romantic.

Narcoosee's, on the other hand, was noisy but a little cold. Every surface was wood or metal. So it felt noisier and didn't feel..."romantic". That said, it was one of my favorite meals we have ever had in the parks, and watching the fireworks from the balcony with a glass of incredible wine in our hands...priceless! I loved CG's view from "above", but being right at water level and watching the castle from that view was also awe-inspiring.

So I think for me it comes down to a lot of other factors, such as cuisine and personality!

I would also rec. Narcoosee's ( one of my all-time favorite rest. at WDW). DH and I also had a very romantic candlite dinner at Shula's that was wonderful. The main room at Shula's seems more lighted and masculine, but we were in a side room, that was very cozy. We had a waiter and two asst's who treated us like king and queen. The food was top-notch and the service was even better!!

For two people, DH and I did not care for Jiko. Many of the tables for two are positioned very close together....we actually heard every word from the table next to us.

Jiko (esp the wine room)

Le Cellier can also be romantic
