to eat at WDW? It doesn't necessarily have to be expensive or fancy, just quiet and romantic. Ideas???

you are going to think I am crazy.

the food court next to the lagoon at POR. (it is closed until the end of April)

that say it might be different when it reopens.

now for breakfast forget it - a mad house.

but for lunch - oh yea - it is almost lovely. - now there might still be some crying or complaints kids - but it you seat away from them - over near the windows. (oh you won't be alone - several people seem to like this place for lunch - but they are quiet too - no loud conversation or people yelling.) Just everyone enjoying the view and people watching.

best yet it is a food court so it is cheap.:3dglasses :woohoo: :rolleyes1

you want to seat either near the windows along the lagoon or near the water wheel mill.

the next would be the restuarant in Mexico - but it has too many darn tables - it is just too crowded these days.

Artists Pointe at WL is nice - it is expensive.

Kona Cafe use to be - okay it was a while ago when it had walls.

If Cindy's castle was not a kids character meal - it would quality. but it is too noisey with the kids screaming.

I think hands-down most romantic is the restaurant in Mexico in Epcot. It's beautifully lit and has a lovely atmosphere.

After that, I think pretty much any of the well renowned restaurants does well. California Grill, Citricos etc are all lovely. I would also add a walk at sunset round Animal Kingdom Lodge and then eat either at Boma or Jiko. AKL is just gorgeous as a resort!

Many times, if you eat at a resort restaurant, it will be quieter than a park restaurant. We like Kimonos, because we can go in the early evening, and it is DEAD there. Very quiet, very dimly lit - nice!

Cheers!

I second the San Angel Inn in Mexico. It has great memories with hubby and more to come in the future. It's not to be missed for us.

Tina :)

The atmosphere at the San Angel might be nice, but the food and service are lousy! And there is such as thing as too poorly lit, and that place fits the bill.

And they are rehabbing the ride next to it, so there's a big wooden wall up--not exactly romantic.

If you want quiet, dinner at Bistro de Paris in Epcot will fit the bill. They have a dress code and no childrens menu or high chairs. That means no younger kids, and a very pleasant atmosphere. A lot of people don't even realize it's there.

I don't know if I would consider CA girll quiet by any means lol. when i was there it was pretty darn loud. but if you DON'T mind loud, we loved narcossees. the GF cafe is quiet at certain times, when we went in Jan we were one of 3 couples in teh whole place at 6:00! good luck!

The Lunching Pad

Just kidding:rotfl2:

I think LeCellier can be romantic if you are there in between lunch and dinner. But thats just my opinion:goodvibes

This is what we did for our anniversary dinner last year and it was fantastic!! We're really looking forward to doing the same thing again this year. :bride: pirate:

Oh, the Bistro is a great idea! No high chairs? And a dress code? Wow! Thank you, ducklite.

GREAT TIP!!!:thumbsup2 I will be sure to add that one to my list.

DH & I actually had a very nice romantic meal at Fulton's Crab House (maybe we got lucky?). We were seated in a room where there were all adults, had a great waiter, and a wonderful meal to celebrate our anniversary. Add a snifter of Bailey's Irish Cream for dessert and we were ready to celebrate:banana:
