Can be TS or CS in any of the parks.

I would have to say LTT....I just dont understand the hype about this place, the food is blah IMHO

I didnt like Teppanyaki, it was expensive and the food was NOT good IMHO.. Our chef was also stiff and boring barely moved while he cooked and didnt make any effort to speak to anyone..

LeCellier. We went and waited so long past our ADR. Our waitress wasn;t bad but not very friendly. The famous cheese soup was full of pepper and my steak crazy DH did not even like his steak.

My first reaction would be Garden Grille - I just hated the place, but truthfully, there's one that is extremely overrated -

Cinderella's Royal Table. Rushed, mediocre food at best, cramped.

But everyone should eat in the castle at least once. ;)

Agree with CRT. We got engaged there, which was a nice experience. However, the food wasn't very good, and I doubt we'll be back.

I think most of mine are in MK. I can never figure out the hype over Casey's hot dogs, Pecos Bill's and the Plaza. :confused3 But eating in MK is too slim of pickings I think. And considering over all what is available there to eat...

We thought Crystal Palace was overrated for the cost. Food was just ok. Character interaction was pretty decent.

DS got food poisoning either from CP or somewhere else, but about 1 1/2 hours after eating there he was ill at least 7 times over the next 4 hours. He did have a couple things at CP that no one else in our party had. He was a trooper though. He held it in on the boat from MK to FW. Of course 5 steps off the boat he was "feedin the fish"......So maybe this experience clouds our judgement. DS still moans everytime we walk past CP and I ask him if he wants to get something to eat :) .

I realize these are just my opinions and your mileage may vary:

Teppanyaki (I've eaten here 3 times) - food was so-so, chefs didn't make much effort to entertain. The only reason I ate here the third time is because I was meeting some friends in WDW and they wanted to eat there. I sucked it up and thought maybe third time's a charm. It wasn't. :sad2:

CRT (ate here twice before the change in Feb) - dinner menu was unappealing and the poor waiter tried to suggest substitutions but even the substitutions were not exactly delicious. :( I will admit, however, that I thoroughly enjoyed eating lunch here and that I do not regret eating in the castle -- I just regret that it cost so much and that I expected dinner to be as enjoyable as our lunch was.

Pecos Bill (eaten here twice) - yeah, they have a great fixin's bar. But the two burgers I ordered on seperate occasions had chunks of bones or something hard and disgusting in them, so I've crossed Pecos Bills off of my list except for buying drinks from.

Another vote for Le Cellier. It's not that it's bad, exactly, it's just that this is literally the most popular place to eat on WDW property, and so the wait for a table for dinner, even with ADRs, is lengthy, and the service and food are average, at best (though the prices are anything but average).

For us it is Rose and Crown hands down. The staff was rude and pushy. We were not seated until an hour past our ADR time. The food was ho-hum....etc.

I have 5 suggestions. The first two were mediocre or bad respectively and get hype they don't deserve on this site imo. The next 3, we thought were good, but didn't deserve the To Die for label they get so often.

1. Columbia Harbor House. Long John Silvers has better quality fish and a lighter, tastier breading. CHH drained the grease off far better than Long Johns does so we were thankful for that. The Clam Chowder isn't in a bread bowl any more. Mediocre food. But it is easy to get into even at the busiest times and it's quiet upstairs for the most part. And for that, we'll keep going there. But it's ceratinly not worth the hype it gets.
2. Marrakesh. I gont nothing but raves about it before we went. Chicken undercooked. When it came out cooked it was dry. Everythign was bland. This one would have made #1 on the list, but it's starting to take some heat on this site and was thus dropped to #2.
3. Aloha Isle. Good but C'mon. It's soft serve. Hardly to die for.
4. Le Cellier. Once you get beyond the cheese soup and pretzle bread, it's pretty much a good steak house. Another one that's good but not worth the praise it gets.
5. Boma We thought it was good and it has our suggestion, but not to die for.

Some places that missed the cut.
CRT. With the new pricing, this one is taking a lot of slams. So it's no-longer overrated on average.
Sci Fi. Again this one takes it on the chin a bunch. So I don't think it's overrated on average.

Boma
Beaches and Cream

For many people these are absolute must dos. I wouldn't go out of my way for either.

Le Cellier is overrated. Its a steak house. It isn't a bad steak house, but if this is the best steak you've had in your life, and you are a middle class American steak eater, I pity you.

It seems to me that it depends on what you want--food, atmosphere, characters????

The food at the character buffets is cheaper than at many TS restaurants...and lower quality (IMHO). If you want characters, we find LTT to be among the better, but it certainly can't compare with most of the "non-character" restaurants.

One rude server can ruin an experience, but doesn't make a restaurant bad.

Personally, I didn't like the food at WCC, but the atmosphere was great. DD didn't even like the bottomless shake! We hit a VERY nasty and inappropriate CM named Lisa at COncourse Steak House, and found the food to be mediocre at best. Our family wouldn't go back to either of these.

Teppanyaki--DD loved it, but she loves all things Japanese. It was twice the price of the local Japanese steak house and the food wasn't as good. We had to flag down the American restaurant manager to get drink refills. However, the chef show was pretty good. I would go there again, but clearly know that it is for DD pleasure.

As to most overpriced and over-rated--CRT. We loved the breakfast there many years ago. However, the current deal was a disappointment. Every little princess should go there once, but realize that it is the atmosphere that is the draw. The kids ate next to nothing, the character experience was not the best. Oh well......

Without a doubt, Le Cellier. It's not bad, but it just didn't live up the glowing reviews I'd read. We actually didn't have to wait long for our seats - 10 minutes maybe? But I hated the seating - I felt like I was sitting with the people next to us (and it didn't help that the waiter kept standing between us and I'd have to lean away so I didn't have his butt in my face) The cheese soup, yuck. Didn't like the taste AT ALL, but the texture is what really turned my stomach. I downed half my drink to get it out of my mouth. Filet was a little tough and stringy - it was ok . . . to be fair we had Citrico's a night or two before and I had an AMAZING filet there that would be tough to live up to, LOL. LOVED the cream cheese mashed potatoes, but that's hardly a reason to keep going back, LOL.

I thought it was WAY overpriced. We were on the dining plan when we went so it didn't really hurt . . . but had I been paying out of pocket I'd have been very upset.
