What is the minimum points buy in direct for the Blue Card?

In June, DVD raised it so there is no difference between what one needs for blue card vs minimum for new buyers.

For those that currently own, you still have to reach that same new buyer minimum of 150

We are good with the points and Blue Card.

I was asking for a family member who wants to buy DVC.
Do all 150 need to be direct purchase, or could they purchase direct and resale to get to the 150 points?

If you want the blue card, all 150 points need to be direct.

It's a prime benefit. There are also discounts on merchandise, tours and food. Discounts on cabana rentals, fishing excursions and exclusive merchandise. If there's a Moonlight Magic Event, you can only get in with a blue card.

But if none of those things matter to you, then a resale contract is fine. The only added negative are the resale restrictions on your points (no Disney collection, no DCL exchange, no ABD, no using your points at RIV and future resorts).
