What is the limited magic for this week?

Does Disney have something going on special for the promotion at all times?

Technically, yes, but it depends on your definition of "special". That is, if soup and Disney Dollars are your thing.

This week's LTM was the start of the Summer edition of the Castle Projection show. And, the start of the Monster University Wake-Up calls at the resorts

So, basically comparable to soup. ;)

How do you figure out what's going on? Lol.

Well if Disney hadn't made such a HUGE production out of this -- the huge event in Times Square, the "major announcement" that they themselves promised to make at that event -- then these would indeed seem just like sweet little somethings that they were adding in for fun. They set us all up to believe that this was going to be a major, 52-week long event that would make it worth planning a WDW vacation to experience. THAT'S why I'm disappointed.

This...this is how I feel too. There is very little that is MAJOR. I don't consider sales they would have done anyway, soup, new themed wake up calls etc MAJOR. They are nice, but not MAJOR weekly announcements. Most of it is a new thing for us to buy vs something that enhances our vacation.

Exactly.

And the sad thing is, to me and I think to a lot of us here, is that they could so easily have made this something wonderful -- without having to have spent much (if any!) money. If they had simply planned to bring out special/rare characters each week, in each park, that would have been fantastic, and/or if they re-visited the "dream fastpass" program (handing out sets of FPs to groups of people as they did during Year of Dreams), we would have been delighted....

(Just to be clear -- we did go during the Year of Dreams, and while we saw others receiving the FPs, or the special ears, etc., we didn't *get* anything but that wasn't an issue for us. Sure, we would have loved to have been chosen for something, but seeing others have those exciting experiences and just having them happening in general in the parks was a lovely thing. So my point isn't that I "need to get something" to be happy, I just expect them to do a better job designing their major promotion of the year.)

I think it's also a trolly show
