OK, I thought I knew it all about WDW but two things have me stumped.
What exactly is the "kiss goodnight" at the MK?
and
how do you get "rehitched" at the Garden Grille?
Can someone educate me?
Thanks

I've never been to the Garden Grille, but apparently your waiter will perform some sort silly ceremony to "remarry" you and your spouse. Supposed to be really funny...maybe with characters even?

The Kiss Goodnight I've actually seen. It usually takes place quite awhile after the fireworks as the park is closing. We were literally the only ones on Main St. to see it last Nov. The castle sparkles, changes colors quite quickly, then a recording plays over the speakers saying thanks for a wonderful day, usually ending with Walt Disney or Mickey Mouse. It's really touching, especially if you're a big crybaby like me!

I saw the "Kiss Goodnight" in February. The park closed at 9:00pm, they rain Spectromagic at 9:00pm we watched it from the hub. We decided to hang around, the Kiss Goodnight was at 10:00pm. It was really neat. The castle sparkles and an announcement comes on. Then we walked down an almost deserted main street. CM's were cleaning up, you wouldn't believe how many rented strollers are abandoned, they were collecting and stacking them at the hub.

Here is a short video (needs Quicktime) of the Kiss Goodnight. I have seen it several times.....love it. If I am ever in the park late, I always like to stay for it. If you are not a Disney nut, you might say, 'Huh', but if you are a nut, you might need a tissue, LOL. They do not do it every night, but do it most nights, no guarantees. I have sat a few times and no KG, but it is still fun when the security folks say it's time to go, the park is closing up. :teeth: I always take their pictures. :)

OK....butttt......I thought the 'Kiss Goodnight' is when Tink flies down from the castle at the end of the night? (I've seen that!)

Thanks for the link to see the KG! My DH and I just snuggled to watch it. We have never heard about it before so we are soooo excited to stay for it. And we are going to be at the Garden Grill and it would be fun to have the rehitching cermony...but we are going to be at the Ice Cream Social..do they do it there too?

I wish I had known about it last Jan. We were there by ourselves and I would have loved to do this! Oh well, it's just another reason to go back! Gotta love those!:Pinkbounc

Tink flying from the Castle is just the beginning of Fantasy in the Sky, and the new Wishes, starting in Oct.

Tink.....:)

Well, there's a very special, limited engagement Kiss Goodnight scheduled for the Polynesian only for the first week in October. Tickets will be difficult to come by, but I'll see what I can do. ;)

All the times I've been to WDW & I never knew about the Kiss Goodnight!! Now I can't wait to see it!

As for the "rehitching", make sure you tell the CM when you make PS. Also tell them when you check in at the Garden Grill. Its really cute. I set it up for my in-laws a few years ago & most of the servers got involved. The manager made a big deal about it & gave them a certificate. They'll do in anytime you're at the GG, I think.
