What is the first thing you do

We take the earliest flight out of Buffalo, arrive early, check in at our resort and then head to a park wherever I scheduled a ADR.

Flying in form California, we usually arrive in the evening around 5-6pm. We take the ME to our Resort, quickly freshen up after the flight and take the next bus to DTD for dinner and drinks. We love kicking off our first night with the Disney nightlife atmosphere.. I know there's a lot of construction going on in DTD so I'm a little concerned with the atmosphere for our upcoming trip but hopefully it's not too crazy.

Last time I don't think we got to our room until around 7pm so we just bussed over to DTD and had a late dinner at Raglan Road. This time we are flying overnight and arrive about 11:15am so will grab the car, likely make a stop at some kind of store to grab some breakfast food to keep in the room and head over to CBR. We are going to Le Cellier for dinner so I think we'll book some late afternoon FPs for Epcot. Depending how we feel and if we can get into our room right away, we might try to nap a bit and then make it a bit later of a night, since it is EMH at Epcot and we're only headed there one other day.

Arrival day is always DTD day, with dinner at T-Rex. There's just no way I can put enough energy into a park that day to enjoy it. We take a nap, head to DTD, shop, eat, etc. It's a really nice way to ease into our trip, since we usually do open to close every day.

The very first thing I do when I arrive in Orlando is find a bathroom. It is a long flight after all.

This is us exactly! Although, sometimes I allow them to switch to a different ADR. For instance, my mom wanted Planet Hollywood this trip, but T-rex will always be my favorite.

1. Arrive FL
2. Lunch off property (if arriving early enough to need lunch.)
3. Grocery / shopping stop if we drive (Target, Walmart, outlets if time)
4. Check into hotel
5. Explore hotel / swim if time
6. Go to DTD to window shop
7. DTD ADR for dinner

8. Early to bed to ready for RD next day

We check in and then head straight to MK where we immediately go get a photo with Mickey.

We arrive usually by 2pm check in and head right to MK, we do 3 FP+, people watch, meet and greet if able and we always eat our first meal at Casey's, stay as late as we can since we have usually been up since 3am then head back to resort and sleep soundly. We have always used a park day on arrival, we never get enough of the parks lol

We usually get in around Noon. We like to let the pixie dust slowly settle over us. We'll typically grab a nap--you have to leave Iowa pretty early to get to WDW at Noon--and then talk a stroll around POR. By then our luggage has arrived. We settle into our room and then take a carriage ride around the resort. Then it's time for dinner at Boatwrights. Early to bed and fresh for our first day at MK--which is always our first park to visit.

Boring answer, I know, but it's pretty much routine for us.
  • Fly in to MCO and arrive anywhere between 8:00-10:00.
  • Collect luggage.
  • Walk across the street to the parking garage and head to National's Emerald Aisle and pick out a car.
  • Drive toward WDW, stopping at Publix for breakfast foods, water and other snacks.
  • Arrive at Resort.
  • If we are staying at the Swan or Dolphin, we pull right up to the Valet area at the Dolphin and toss the rental car keys to the valet and they take the car and give me my one day rental car bill*.
  • Unpack while kid watches WDW channel on TV.
  • Lights out by midnight.

*If we are staying at a different resort, I will find time the following day to return the car at the Dolphin so that my rental is only for a single day. The cost of a single day car rental plus supplies from Publix comes out to be cheaper than a single sit-down breakfast during the week. Or two breakfasts at the most.
