What is the entertainment card?

I've seen people mention getting an entertainment rate with their entertainment card, but have not seen what it is or how to get it.
Could someone please let me know? I paid rack rate on my last trip and would like to get a discount next time.

No deep discounts with the Entertainment card anyway as far as resorts go. Better deal with AAA membership.

School and clubs sell what is called "The Entertainment Book" for fundraisers. Inside is filled with coupons for various restaurants and stores - as well as discounts on travel items (hotels, airfare, cruises and car rentals, etc). There is a card that comes with it that you are supposed to show when you arrive at the hotels (or restaurants). They usually come out in the fall, and are now available for around half price, depending on where you buy it. The books are specific to different areas (ex: Orlando, Philadelphia, Atlanta, etc.) Coupons inside can be used locally as well as nationally. The Universal hotels used to offer very good discounts with this card, but lately, AAA is better. You can buy an Entertainment book at it's website.

As far as I know I do not think that there is any arrangement between entertainment and Universal.

There is a coupon for $50 or $100 off a package, but since booking separately always works out cheaper for us, the $50 or $100 didn't make a difference. But, I have noticed people talking about using the "Entertainment Rate" and I think this is what they are talking about
