what itinerary makes the "dream" Walt Disney World vacation? I've got friends going to Disney and since I've been there serveral times are looking to me to help plan-- but could use the help of the Disboarders! They have 3 kids age 5, 9 and 14 and plan to spend a week in Orlando.

I'm a little opinionated on this... ;) ...but a "Dream" week at WDW would have to be onsite. And for a family of five, I would suggest a 2-bedroom unit at the Beach Club Villas. The proximity to Epcot and MGM can't be beat. Plus having Storm Along Bay as a resort pool is incredible. The kids will love it there.

The first four days should be spent at MK, MGM, AK, and Epcot in that order. The ranking is based upon the "WOW" factor that kids ages 5, 9 and 14 would experience.

A nice off day in the middle to enjoy the resort (did I mention SAB?), then back to MK and MGM for missed rides and re-rides.

And at the risk of sounding like a heretic, perhaps a day offsite at Universal or Seaworld, to explore more of what Orlando has to offer.

The best advice would be to have plans for each day, but to keep them flexible enough to enjoy some spontaneity.

Dream vacation, money no object, would be 1 week Poly concierge...castle view room, second week head over to the Beach Club concierge....lake view. :earsgirl:

DVC California,
Wow, you just described exactly our plan for October. Its nice to know that an opinionated person considers this to be a "dream vacation." :) We are also hitting the halloween party one night.

My Dream vacation would be staying at the presidential suite at the WL!!!! For 2 weeks. The most important thing would be that DD never forgets it and to have it always be one of her fave memories as a child.

My husband is leaving to go overseas for a year (Air Force) and so I scheduled a Disney trip for July to try to help my daughter cope with his absence. She was quite excited, but upset that Daddy wouldn't be able to go.

After quite a bit of finagling, we were able to get his leaving date pushed back by 8 days, so now Daddy is going with us! Not only Daddy, but grandpa, uncle, and two grandmas as well (and mommy!).

That's a dream trip to me - being able to experience it with family.

thats awesome!

We think so as well. I am soooo excited! This is a dream of a lifetime for us, and I know the memories that we make will help hold us over during the year apart.

My dream WDW vacation happened 20 years ago when my children were little and we took our first family vacation. My dream would be to be able to do it again, just the way it was then.

Man, do I miss that time of my life.

Sorry, back to fun stuff.
