What is the Disney visa discount released today?

I called WDW today about the Visa offer to get a price on a planned trip from 2/4/- 2/19/14. The CM told me I could only book 14 of the 15 days with the Visa discount. I am assuming it is a 14 day limit on the discount but I have to wonder two things. First could I split my reservation into a 7 day and 8 day reservation and get the discount for all dates? And second will I be able to book all 15 with the discount when it goes public on Thursday (in other words is Visa setting the limits on the number of days or is Disney). Does anyone know the answers to these....thanks for any help.

My DS and family have there trip booked for 2-25 to 3-3 and I keep telling them of the great discounts you can get--unfortunately they couldn't use AAA

the package they booked is at the ASMo which includes tickets and dining for 2 A and 1C for alittle less then 2500 which I didn't think was too bad

but I was glad to see the Disney Visa for S/D/P and possibly Thurs for the general public

so my question is on Thurs do I just tell my son to call and have the discount applied to there trip

does he need a code and if so where would I find that

gee with these questions youd think I never planned a WDW trip before

but we just watch for the RO discounts we.ve never done the dining plans

My aunt texted me yesterday morning to tell me she saw it announced on facebook. I called and waited less than 5 minutes and got my room only reservation booked in under 15 minutes. I was trying to accomplish all of this before my doctors appointment so this fast time frame was important! We saved around $470 for a 4 night 5 day stay at WL courtyard view. They were already our of standard rooms when I called. I still have yet to receive an email from Disney Visa announcing the offer.

Ooh, I'm hoping to stay WL courtyard for 4 nights/5 days, so this is great info to see, thanks!! May I ask if the $470 savings was through the S/P/D or the RO discount? I was coming up with around $428 for RO for our dates, and am on the fence of whether we should do the DDP or not.

The S/P/D offers is only available until 3/7/15, the room only discount goes until 3/28. From what I've read, checking in on the last day of the discount, you would have to book the S/P/D to keep the discount through your entire length of stay. The same does NOT hold true for the room only discount reservations.

Once upon a time yes. Not for a number of years though.


I have been searching to find out what the S/P/D discount really is, and have yet to get the information. It is intentionally opaque this year. ( I man once upon a time, it was something semi-clear, like everyone pays the child pricing on tickets and dining. Or KIDS ages 3-9 are free w/paid adults.

The room-only discount is more specific, but the package discount is completely opaque.
