What is the differences between Rainforest Cafe in Animal Kingdom vs Downtown Dis.??

Okay people, I bought vouchers for my Rainforest Cafe meal (the $31 ones) and I JUST found out that they can only be used at one in Animal Kingdom. What is the difference between the restuarants. Is one bigger than the other? Are the prices the same? I got a Rainforest menu off of allearsnet.com. I've read that the one at Animal Kingdom requires parking fee (the same fee as if I were going to the park). I've also read that the one in Animal Kingdom does not require park admission.

The AKL RFC doesn't require admission to AK. You can take the Disney AK bus to AK if you don't want to pay parking. The RFC is right outside the entrance to AK. I think the AK RFC tends to be less crowded than the one at DTD also. As I remember, the menus are similar.

Really, you lucked into the better RFC as far as my family is concerned. the one at DTD just seems like any other one in any other location. but to us, the one at AK is more "Disney"--maybe because it's right outside the AK entrance and you can enter AK through the rear of RFC. But no matter which one you're at, They carry the same merchandise and there's no menu difference at any RFC in the US that we can detect. As another reply mentioned, the one at AK is less crowded. DTD is always jammed. Be sure and order the Volcano for dessert if you like chocolate.
In Illinois, the volcano comes with a lit sparkler, but last time in AK RFC, it came with a sparkly streamer.

I've eaten at both of them and I didn't see any difference really. I would agree that the one at AK seemed less crowded. It's a fun place to eat either way.
