What is the cost of reactivating freestyle mugs?

If you have coke freestyle mugs from a different trip, what is the cost of reactivating the mugs? I couldn't find this info - and didn't even notice it in the parks during our last trip. (It's quite possible I just didn't see it).

Its now $12.99 for 1 cup, $11.99 for 2 cups and $9.99 if you by 3 or more (price is each).
The price for additional days is $5.99 each
This is an awesome deal. The 3 of us are getting them when we go in the Fall. 3 drinks and its paid for itself.​

I don't know if this would apply to mugs from a different trip though.

Yes, I could find the initial prices, but wasn't sure if additional days was just for days added on or if it was the same price for reactivating.

We only used them one day on our last trip since we're bigger water drinkers - they had a buy one get one half price meal deal going on with the drinks so it basically worked out that we got the freestyle for free. They are rather large and take up a lot of room in our single backpack too. BUT - our next trip will include two kids/teens who are big soda drinkers so we're debating having the kids drink water most of the time or doing the freestyle cups. $6 each will be worth it to us.

macraven did you use them recently? We still have the red refillable mugs that we bought on our 2009 and brought them on our October 2015 trip. I wanted to buy a 3rd one but they weren't selling them anymore. At least where we asked about them. We leave in 2 weeks and want to bring them back. They are a huge money saver.

We ran into the same thing when we were there in October last year. We lost one on our previous trip and I was going to replace it last year. We were told they weren't selling them anymore. We usually travel with 6 people so we wanted to have 3 mugs for when we paired off.

Including the coke freestyle ones? I didn't know that. Hmmmm, we may need to use them every day of our trip then.

I have never bought the freestyle containors but would check with UO on that

For many years the policy has been if you bought a drink mug from UO, it is eligible to be used anytime for the refillable drink discount

I take it even further and show my AP for the discount on the refill charge


I'm still using my dueling dragon mug for discounter refills and the TM don't question it

Yes, this includes the freestyle mug. Unless things have changed this year, there is always someone trying to get free refills at the carts. They are told .99 or go to the nearest freestyle machine.

Yeah, we ended up buying the freestyle mugs because the character mugs were all too bulky for me to want to carry around all day, but we didn't recharge them, just did 99c refils, since there was no way we were going to drink $6 worth of soda in one day.

Just curious, where are the freestyle machines in the parks? Is there anywhere on the website that shows them? I have never bought them, so never paid attention. But, with an 8 day onsite trip in June, it might be nice to have. And, we need a lobby or petition for .99 refills of butterbeer!!!!!

I don't think there would be a way to get the .99 refills at the freestyle locations, but you could at the kiosks. The freestyle locations are listed here: http://blog.universalorlando.com/visiting-us/coca-cola-freestyle/
